    Work after Surgery

I would advise to reschedule. However, if it means losing out on a big client, then maybe you could get someone to drive you back and forth, and you could sleep in the car?

Heyyyy it's yo girl. Got my arrival time for my butt lift and thighplasty tomorrow at 7:30 a.m., then 450cc silicone implants in-office on the 15th! Thus will conclude the plastic surgery journey. Prior to bypass I had a breast reduction w/ full nipple graft breast lift and full body liposuction. Post-bypass I had bra-line excision, arm lift, tummy tuck, and soon-to-be butt and thigh lift and implants. AMA! I'm officially an expert. lmao. There's nowhere else for them to nip and tuck! $$$$$$$$$$$ He was supposed to email me my before and after tummy tuck and arm lift but he forgot. I will post them this week when I remind him at my follow-up Friday.

    NSV & first vacation experience

I am almost 6 months post op and took my first vacation this week (Drove up to Tahoe). I went with some friends who did not know about the surgery but knew I was actively losing weight and trying to eat healthier and it wasn't awkward at all. I didn't snack, but I did eat some meals I shouldn't have. But between watching how much and exercise, I was down just over 2 lbs for the week. In the past, anytime I vacationed I would be up so I'm super excited. I had some great NSVs while I was out. - Hiked almost every day - around 5 miles, intermediate hikes, at elevation. Still hard, but I did it. - Kayaked, and was able to get in and out easily. - They had standard size bath towels in the bathroom, and it wrapped all the way around me without a gap! - It was my birthday and I didn't have any cake, and really didn't miss it. I tried alcohol for the first time since surgery. I had a glass a wine a couple of times and did fine. However, I had about 1/3 of a margarita and felt awful. I don't think I full on dumped, but I think if I had drunk any more I would have. It's the first time I've had any amount of sugar so lesson learned. I'm going back to not drinking for a while (it will continue to be an occasional event going forward).

liver shrink diets aren’t the same

it varies a lot. It depends on the surgeon. Some surgeons require no special pre-op diet at all. Mine was 4-5 protein shakes, unlimited no- or ultra-low-calorie beverages, sugar free popsicles, sugar free Jello, and a limited amount of broth and V8/tomato juice.

liver shrink diets aren’t the same

I had 2 weeks of 2 protein shakes a day and 1 protein bar a day provided by them. Then 1 meal a day that consisted of 4oz of protein, 2 servings of veggies, and 1/3 cub of carbs. I could have up to 2 SF Popsicles a day or SF Jello.

I’m so dang salty right now!

I use way to much salt. I put garlic salt and pepper on everything. I shouldn't because I have high blood pressure but it's a habit.

    Pre-Op Primary Appointment

I’m so late sorry! So I waited until my appointment so I knew what to get. I got the Bariatric advantage calcium chews, chewable procare health multivitamin & some chewable biotin pills from amazon.

True. In the end it's always a question of "how big is the price one has to pay for it". If you can maintain a BMI in the normal range or maybe even in the being-slightly-overweight range rather effortlessly what's the point of trying to white knuckle your way to a BMI of e. g. 21? If we're being honest we're no longer talking about "health" then. We're talking about "vanity". Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with wanting to lose more weight because of a little vanity but be honest and stop hiding behind the word "health" once a normal weight is reached and it doesn't hurt to be aware of the price one might have to pay for it either. For many patients the decision to lose some more "vanity weight" might boil down to "Do I want a life or a diet and an exercise plan?" I'm dropping again the term "best weight possible". For some, that might indeed be that BMI of 20. For others it might be the BMI of 27 or 28 or higher, depending on starting BMI and life circumstances. Usually surgeons and dietitians are more realistic when it comes to goal weight than the patients, e. g. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18201668/

Yeah...no. He doesn't do surgery anymore, he is more into multi level marketing (pyramid schemes). Some of his earlier videos have a lot of merit but the longer the time has lapsed since he has done surgery and more into MLM and getting rich (his workshops and conferences now focus more on MLM and networking) the less merit he brings.
