    carbonated drinks with sleeve

I think the issue is two-fold. First, many overweight people drink a lot of their calories, so a prohibition against carbonated beverages should cut their intake of those. Secondly, and this is more in line with your desire to drink the diet stuff, is that for some reason, carbonation doesn't feel good in a sleeve or a pouch. There's no reason I can't drink a soda, but I become a burp machine if I do and the feeling in my sleeve is usually uncomfortable. That said, once or twice a year I have a root beer. Mostly what I drink now is Crystal Light.

The PT's goal weight gives a BMI of 30, which is my current BMI - believe me there is still plenty of body fat there. You'd have to be really really muscular to have a BMI of 30 without any excess fat.

This might be a little weird but crushed iced helped me. It didn't fill me up but it curved by hunger.

lots of us had to do that. You'll just have to white knuckle it. It gets a lot better by about day 4 because your body goes into ketosis at that point. The headache is from carb withdrawal - that should go away as well. Just hang in there - the liquid diet is the hardest part of this. I found broth, Jello, and sugar free popsicles the most helpful, even though nothing really helps that much. Jello and popsicles were the only things that resembled real food, so I ate them with abandon. And broth has salt in it, so it makes you retain water, making you feel a little fuller. Just hang on....this'll all be over before you know it!!

Hello everyone. I'm new to this and am very nervous about this whole thing. I have been seeing my primary doctor for years about my weight and have tried numerous diets and pills thru my doctor. I have UMR for insurance but they go by the United healthcare choice plus guidelines for bariatric surgery. I have received different answers from different representatives through my insurance place regarding the 6 month diet requirements. Does it need to be consecutive? How far back can those 6 months go? Does it have to be doctor supervised or can I show weight watchers logs? My surgeon office initially told me it doesn't have to be consecutive and can go back 2 years. But I was just doing some reading and saw that some people with this same plan had to have consecutive visits and within the 6 months prior to the authorization being sent in. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I take K2 every morning and D3 every OTHER morning, but since I take my K2 along with my calcium tabs, and the calcium tabs have D3 in them, then I guess that means I take K2 with D3! yes - K1 is for clotting. K2 is for bones oh - and there are two versions of K2, of course - MK4 and MK7. I spent a ton of time reading up on these to see which one was better and ended up going with MK7. But either will work for bones (I think I'm remembering that MK7 was more easily absorbed or something - but I can't remember - it's been awhile). MK7 is also more expensive because it's a natural vitamin - I think it's derived from natto beans, if I'm remembering correctly.

People seem to forget that death is always a risk with surgery. Patients who have comorbidities, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, lung problems, etc., are at a greater risk than those who do not have such issues. The risk of death is small for a relatively healthy person. However, every patient needs to be aware of the risks before going into this.

Nurse called to check on me post op. Asked me if I’d had a bowel movement yet. I tell her no. She says I need to take Milk of Magnesia because they want me to still have bowel movement even though I’m on a liquid diet. Wake up in the middle of the night in a sea of diarrhea in my bed all over my new white bed sheets and blanket. One of the most disgusting things I’ve ever experienced. If you are going to take Milk of Magnesia, take it first thing in the morning. Do not take in the afternoon or early evening. If you do, you might just literally shit the bed.
