    Can anyone help, or....

Happy to report that I'm up 3.5lbs since my 6/3 request for help. The slider foods have been a life saver, literally! I have more energy and a generally positive outlook already! Thank you all so very much!

    Leaky Gut?

After such a long time doctors seem to be hesitant to view the RNY as the culprit. That doesn't mean that there aren't problems that occur years after surgery. What comes to my mind when talking about "leaky gut" and "gastric bypass" is SIBO. Did anyone look into this?

    JUNE 2020 BYPASSERS

I had surgery on Monday as well. I’m doing okay on fluids. I had horrible gas and stomach spasms. I’m glad you’re doing well. Keep up the good work :)

    So it begins...

Suspicious. Seems like for every hurdle the insurance company adds, they end up paying for fewer surgeries. Funny thing is they will be paying for all your procedures. I had a psych eval, x ray with contrast, endoscopy, and one required meeting with a nutritionist. Got 3 of 4 done in one week. Final procedure done by 3 weeks. Surgery was approved a couple of weeks later. Since this is the most impactful change on your health you'll make in your lifetime, don't be discouraged. Take it as a challenge and knock it out.

    Never Felt So Good

So, I m down to 198 and feeling amazing, my husband and I started walking Monday and I felt so good, my legs were not rubbing together, I was able to keep up with him and I even noticed my shadow casted in front of me it was smaller, I did not have the broad shoulders or apple shape in front of me! It felt Soooooooooo Goooooooood! We walked 2 miles and did it again on Tuesday, Wednesday got rained out but we also celebrated 25 years of wedding bliss! WooHooo! Thursday, doctor's appointment and he was so happy of the weight loss! He also decreased my blood pressure medication in half! I also have went from a size 22W to a regular 14. I have to say it again, "I Feel Sooooooo Goooooood!"

I wanted to give an update. I completed all the requirements for federal BCBS on August 12. On August 23 my doctors office called and told me insurance approved my surgery. August 28 is my pre-op consult with my surgeon and prep class. I will have surgery within the next four weeks! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

For me, it's my bf. A lot of it is he was scared (and still is) about the surgery itself and the aftermath. Then he seems to have a chubby fetish (which he only seemed to acquire or bring out into the open) when I started talking about surgery. Post-surgery...he barely talks to me, barely touches me, rarely says anything nice (and in fact, told me he missed my missing stomach). He makes me understand why so few relationships survive this surgery So yes, I understand having someone completely unsupportive. Luckily, the rest of my family is incredibly supportive and understand completely why I did this. So I try to ignore his bile and hope that he changes. If he can't accept a healthier me, then much as it hurts to say, he doesn't deserve me.
