    New Member, Revised!

Just got the Revision from a 2013 LSG to DS 10 days ago. I'm recovering well and seeing excellent results. Everything went better than expected. Just graduated to Puree stage today after four weeks of a liquid diet. The diet was satisfying and I never went hungry. Now I'm adding some new foods to my diet for this 2 week stage. In these COVID-19 times, the hospital does not allow visitors so no family could visit during my 5 day stay. I had four other required procedures that week for a total of 3 surgeries over 4 days. I've seen a lot of great, relevant information on this forum. I look forward to getting through the journey with all of you.

It really depends on the person. But personally, I'd suggest 6 days out - that's when I flew. I probably could have done it at 4 or 5 days, but 3 days would have been tough. And the doctor was telling me how impressed he was that I was walking so much the day after surgery! Also, I usually don't check my bag, but this time I did.

the recovery on bypass isn't any different than recovery on sleeve. You'll be fine. I was walking right away and driving at a week out. I could have easily gone back to work at that point if I wanted to, too.

It’s already Wednesday & it seems to have flown by.. hope the rest of this week does! I keep tripping up on the “week OR SO” part... what the hell does or so mean? I’m so technical lol

Its funny because my boyfriend thinks I have powers because everything I want i usually get. When I put my mind to it. Lol. Maybe we will be July surgery buddies!

I’m also in Indiana. I was originally scheduled for March 24. My new date is June 4. I was told they are evaluating each case individually and not just by original date. They are slowly resuming all surgeries and there is a lot of competition for operating room time. They said I am getting in early because I am low risk. I was also among the most screwed by the Governor’s executive order. If I were just a week earlier, I would have made it through. Long frustrating story short... No one really knows anything about what to expect from the fallout of this pandemic. We can share stories, but it’s just anecdotal and won’t provide any hard & fast realistic expectations. I have spent the extra time reading through education resources, experimenting with protein sources, cutting bad habits, and trying to drop a few pounds. Hang in there. I know it’s hard.

    Any re-sleevers out there?

I found a study about it. Apparently some people have had success with it. It's called laparoscopic re-sleeve gastrectomy. I didn't quickly find anyone doing it. Can you talk to your original surgeon? Most people get the bypass for regain and I do know someone doing well with that. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4073220/
