I think sometimes people are scared to ask too. I’ve lost 50 too and people that I see everyday don’t really notice but I seen a friend that I hadn’t seen in a couple of months before my surgery and she was like wow you lost a lot of weight. Weight is a fragile subject. Great job on the 50 pound down!
It's really hard to lose the weight when you're stuck at home and don't use the calories you normally use running around all day. I've gained a few pounds. I do Pilates and run most every day. But I agree, the struggle can be very hard. If anyone is about to tell me to work on my food addiction, save it.
They just called me with a new surgery date... June 11 and I start the pre-op diet on Fri. I need to go buy all those protein drinks I need. I'm so happy that I won't have time to worry about the surgeries. I wish I hadn't been such a slug these past 8 weeks, but I have two weeks to exercise.
it can sometimes take a couple of years for vitamin deficiencies to show up. Some of mine took a tumble when I had my four-year check up last year - and I'd been taking vitamins religiously.
also, most of us start regaining around year 3 - but some start earlier.
in both cases, you really do need to get back on track or you may regret it later on...
I'm on day 13 of the pre-op diet and believe me it gets easier after around day five (still sucks though). Luckily, I'm allowed cream type soups so at least there's that. Hang in there and make your remaining days count!
This is true too. Some may think you are ill if you lose weight too fast. Personally, I have decided that I'm not going to give a care what they think. I'm going to live large! (Well, not literally, heh.)
I agree with the person who said some people are afraid to. Some people might think you've lost weight because you're sick or something. Or some people might just think it's rude to comment on other people's weight. I lost over 200 lbs and have had people not say anything. Surely they noticed ???
