    Revision time

In the really early weeks, yes. However, I heard the same about sleevers, so dunno...

    It's time.

    New surgery date!

They just called me with a new surgery date... June 11 and I start the pre-op diet on Fri. I need to go buy all those protein drinks I need. I'm so happy that I won't have time to worry about the surgeries. I wish I hadn't been such a slug these past 8 weeks, but I have two weeks to exercise.

Iron profile and Parathyroid came back. Totally normal. Iron is actually at 150 and the upper range of normal is 160. Again... no vitamins since November.... =/ I am SHOCKED my vitamin D is normal. I have always had critically low vitamin D. And now that I don't take anything... they are fine. What the heck.

Scrambled eggs was something that made me puke my guts out after MGB the first time I tried them after being cleared for all foods after four weeks, lol. Beans were a no-no for the first four weeks as well (because gas!). As I said protocols vary and last time I was allowed all foods after three weeks instead of four. Just be careful when introducing new foods. It will work out and the worst time will be over in a few days.

    Obsessing about Plastic Surgery!!

Some also say that results are better when patients have been at a stable weight for a while. Ok, I guess being at a relatively stable weight for the required amount of time shouldn't be a hindrance any more. "Stable weight" for a surgeon means tolerating some fluctuations after all. Maybe I'm too indifferent when it comes to the aesthetic outcome. I want the flab gone, no complications and painless scars. Don't care if they're visible or whatever. My skin looks horrible anyway and my abdominal wall is a visceral surgeon's battlefield after five laparoscopies.

I'm on a super restrictive milk diet so yeah... feel you. No food, no jello, no posicles, no protein nuthings... grrrr! Milk/soy/Fairlife substitute, broth, and flavored water. Yum! I drink 120 ounces of water day, with propel drops in for some for electrolytes. I think that has saved me since I am still cooking for the family and working out. If it wasn't for the pounds coming off.... *crazy face* So much of this is mental over physical, because it is very physically hard but it is also possible if we can dig in and remember our reasons. I also preloaded this whole 2 weeks "meals" into MyFitnessPal and if I don't break my diet I have set myself a reward of 3 new Audible codes for day of surgery. Day 11 is done, 2 more to go, 1 of clear fluids only and I WIN! (Have I mentioned I am also highly competitive and have made this a me vs the milk diet for strongest will?) "I'm gonna win, it's gonna lose" also plays in my head a lot when the going gets tough.

Dr. Lavin in Covington is an extremely well known surgeon. He is AMAZING. His cash price for the sleeve is $13,500. His website is www.whyweight.com. It is very informative. He also hosts several seminars a month. I recently attended one in Baton Rouge. Attending the seminar alone made me decide to choose him. I am traveling two hours for him to perform my sleeve. You should defeinitely research him.
