Just got off the phone with the Bari Office. Surgery still on for Wednesday. I won't pack anything until the hospital calls with the time tomorrow though.

    Disappointed...

Sorry to here about that, ride it out and keep the faith that soon it will get done

that is exactly what I had done - the band has been out for almost five years though. I started taking my omeprazole again - hopefully that will kick in again soon. But the nausea - even mega doses of zofran barely touch it. I'm trying to be strong, but boy is it hard!

@GAjeepGirl it sucks to hear you’re having such a time of it. I had the sleeve, but I know the anguish of recovering from surgery. 3 days is so soon after. I hope you feel better soon. As far as the heartburn, can you take the liquid antacids to coat your tummy? Could your surgeon prescribe something for you? Hugs.

I had RNY - they even kept me an extra night because of the nausea and lack of liquid consumption. I just want to bawl my eyes out.

14 days post-op is not really long out of surgery. The first days of work will most likely be exhausting. I worry a bit going back to work on Thursday with Corona around. Don't know if the hospital I'm working at has Corona patients already. However, since we're the biggest one in the area I bet we have.

    Day 12 feeling really crappy

@summerset I don’t relate to being energetic either. I feel like I’m pushing so hard right now. I go back to work on Tuesday and I have a desk job but still worried about being weak.

@CammyC: I had my revision 26th February and I am convinced I am eating way more calories than you. I still don't feel that good, walks and grocery shopping are exhausting and I'm honestly not really expecting being able to jump around. We all should keep in mind that we had abdominal surgery and general anesthesia. It takes time, at least for most people. Tbh, I can't relate at all to the patients talking about "brimming with energy" shortly after surgery.

One thing I know I am guilty of is unrealistic expectations. You just had 75% of your stomach removed! Your body is in shock; you are probably still feeling the effects of the anesthesia, you are eating around 400 calories a day, you were walking more than you are used to (muscles get tired!) and you are on an emotional roller coaster. I understand why they stress walking to get rid of the gas and get yourself moving, and hydrate and protein, but I feel like we also need to HEAL and be KIND to ourselves. This will pass.

    Wiped out...

Your fluids like broth also count. Your urine should be very light yellow.
