    February Surgery ?

After getting two units of red blood cells on 2/27, I was finally able to join the sleeved club on 2/28. So far I haven’t had any vomiting, only nausea. The gas isn’t too bad either. I’m doing a lot of walking and my spirometer breathing exercises.

I drink sparkling water all the time, since about 2-3 months out. No probs for me.

Hi All... Not sure if there is already a thread for March surgery yet, but if not, here’s one and ready to support one another! My Gastric Bypass is scheduled 3/11/2020...working to get my head right for 2 week pre-op😳!

    can someone just tell me

Yep they were a life saver for me, I am a baby when it comes to pain. They got me through and I used the same pain relief THC/CBD cream I use for that time of the month on my stomach too. It helped wean me off the narcotic pain meds to just taking extra strength Tylenol. I was careful with my ratio of THC:CBD because I didn't want to be head high and forget to be careful. I took like an 18:1

Weight tends to fluctuate throughout the day & from day to day. *Try* only weighing once a day at the same time & under the same conditions. Plus try to watch for weekly instead of daily changes. Please continue on the treatment plan your Team prescribed. It's far more important to be healthy for the long run. Check out why you need protein: https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/002467.htm https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.self.com/story/what-protein-does-in-your-body/amp

I was pretty self conscious about my arms right after I lost the weight. But now almost 6 months later, they really aren't that noticeable anymore. I am 64 year old, and didn't think my skin could shrink back up, but most of it has. I really did consider plastics at one point, but given some time, the loose skin tightened up more than I could have imagined.

My wife is also not supportive at all, maybe not to the extent of yours... no threats of divorce. She is slowly coming around since I have made it clear that I am doing it (surgery is March 16th). I even had to arrange a friend to care for me when I got out of the hospital when she said she wouldn't do it (I think because it is a requirement to have someone watch you for the first couple days, she thought it was a way to stop it from happening). I am not sure what is behind it, she struggles with weight as well and maybe she thinks she will be left behind or something. We have young kids and I just want to be able to be more active with them. I can't do things like to to the fairs and go on rides with them because I don't fit, I can't go canoeing or things they are starting to want to do.
