    No goal weight?

I have a final goal weight and I set a few goals for myself along the way. I'm not going to stress about it but I like to have something to shoot for to help keep me on track. I have a long way to go but I didn't put the weight on overnight and I know it won't come off overnight either.

    Three Months now! w/pics

We concentrate so much on weight ! Sometimes it's the inches lost that really shows up in your success! As one our bariatric veterans has once posted. " It's called Weight loss surgery but it should be called Fat loss Surgery" I'm ok with the inches lost ..

Yesterday I had all of my preop blood work and a chest X-ray. Today I got my official check in and scheduled surgery time. The hospital is over 2 hours from my house, assuming there’s no traffic, across all of San Bernardino and LA counties. (Which means there is ALWAYS traffic!) My check in time is 5 am. So, I booked a night in a hotel a few miles down the coast from where the surgery will be. The surgery itself is set for 7 am (on March 3). They sent prescriptions for liquid Tylenol with codeine, dissolving zofran pills, an acid reducer for the first three months, and a single dose heavy duty anti-nausea pill for the morning of surgery. I’m beginning to have a difficult time focusing at work. My liquid diet is only one day, so that will be Monday. Tuesday can’t come fast enough!!

I have not had a lift, but did a lot of reading before my plastics last year. The general impression I got is that a donut lift is insufficient and leads to sub optimal results in most cases. I suggest research research research. Realself has a lot of fake reviews, but is also a great resource.

Breast lift-donut hole lift Bs keyhole

I had an anchor, but I'm 60 years old and lost over 200 lbs (i.e., a lot of sagging). The keyhole vs donut depend on how much sagging you have. With minor sagging, they often do the donut hole. With moderate sagging, they usually do the keyhole. With severe, usually the lollipop or the anchor.

Is weight loss surgery for me?

almost five years out here. It is NOT the easy way out. The first few months aren't too, too difficult because most people lose their hunger for a few months, but for most of us, hunger eventually comes roaring back - and then things get a lot more challenging. And maintaining your weight loss is TOUGH - as tough as it was before surgery. It's just a tool that works as a strong tail wind to help you to drop a lot of weight quickly. But once you're there, it's a lot of work to keep it off. if you don't want people to know you had the surgery, then don't tell them. They have no right to know your medical history. I hardly told anyone - just my family and my close friends. and willpower is a myth. You are constantly fighting biology when you're trying to lose weight. Your hormones - your gut bacteria - everything is working against you. Only 5% of people manage to do it because you are fighting your body every step of the way. Luckily, surgery resets a lot of that, so it won't be as much of a struggle to lose it. It does make things easier - at least for losing it (as I mentioned, maintenance is really tough - I work at it ALL THE TIME). But even with losing, it takes work on your part, too. You have to be very committed to your program.
