    Uncontrollable binge eating PO

it can happen, yes. You need to get a handle on that ASAP or you're going to end up gaining most or all of your weight back. It's much easier to lose 10 lbs than it is 50. Do you have access to a therapist and/or dietitian? It might not be a bad idea to find some help...

    Before and After Pics

Hello guys! I am writing a blog, and I would like to feature some before and after pictures from people of all different stats (starting weight, height, age, etc) and would like to know if anyone would like to be featured. I included some of my own before and after and have one person volunteer as tribute already, but would like to have more. I know that was one of the biggest things that I searched for when I was looking in to this surgery. The post can be found here... Please email before and after photos to coliveira77@hotmail.com and I will make sure to include yours! I welcome any comments on how I can improve my blog as well! Also, any topics you think I should definitely make sure that I include!

What I wish I knew before I had surgery five years ago. When vets told me you will be able to eat more as you progress was so true. Working on the mental battles of weight loss was not easy. Overcoming my behaviors was one of the best gifts out of surgery. They are not 100% gone. I manage them much better. I'm older 45 day of surgery - 51 now. All the stress over vanity was a bit ridiculous for me. Honestly, I look better not obese. My loose skin is livable and I have gained muscle weight lifting. It has filled out the skin a bit. I looked into plastics twice. I backed out both times. I am happy with my body and rock my old fart self. Transitioning to maintenance was not what I had expected.

https://recovery.marena.com/products/sfbhl-compression-girdle?variant=14424287477802&gclid=CjwKCAiAyeTxBRBvEiwAuM8dndrFQNGnUKFxgIO-PmvArBmKzdBtlURZoZEgCfqnrHQKLSCtZsA_fBoCu2cQAvD_BwE I like this one because the bra on the full body one doesn’t fit me. They also have completely full body for the arms. The Marena have openings in the crotch so you don’t have to pull them down to use the potty. They’re not easy to get on, but worth the struggle.

I have the occasional sip of my husbands Coke Zero, but don’t do it on a regular basis. No issues with the small amount I have.

    Today I have realized...

This thread is exactly what I’m looking for. I’ve always battled depression with appropriate treatments, but this is a new level I haven’t experienced. I think what is so bad is the weakness/fatigue I have daily even with getting in vitamins and short walk around the house. But, I’m also struggling with the soft food stage. I’ve only been able to tolerate cottage cheese and a super tiny amount of wet ground beef with cheese. Everything else comes up even if I chew to apple sauce consistency. (I can tolerate apple sauce though). :/. I’m 5 weeks post GS and would appreciate hearing similar stories and/or encouragement.

    Today I have realized...

There is transient depression as we heal. For no reason, you might wake up depressed, or have it descend upon you. It's important to know it's temporary and has a physical derivation caused by fluctuating hormones released from your fat as you lose weight, or as a result of anesthesia and having someone inside you messing with your guts. (Your guts produce neurohormones that regulate mood.) Hang in there. Deep breathe, drink LOTS of water, do comedy therapy on Netflix, walk a LOT, get outside into sunshine and nature, hug someone hard for a long time! Smile to your reflection in the mirror, get enough sleep, eat your protein and veg and all will be well in your world soon.
