    Blindsided by an anxiety crisis

perhaps you need to think about new types of food, that are different than what you have eaten all your life. Think of food as an exciting adventure in taste, texture, spice, hot, etc..,. Not just sweet and savory. The other morning for breakfast I had a tomato sliced up in a bowl, large sea salt crystals for crunch, a can of sardines ( in water). on top with a bit of balsamic vinegar and some capers. 200 calories. way, way outside of my typical breakfast, but very good and now I want it again. Sure it's easy to eat a bowl of cereal, but how ordinary ( and fattening). There are so many great things to cook / prepare that are not carb loaded crap. Experience new stuff. It's not really that expensive, because now the portions are smal

    sleeve to rny

I wouldn't consider plastics until you've been at or close to goal weight for 6 months to a year. It doesn't seem like you've given it enough time yet to even consider a revision. I would get back to the basics and on track with your eating and try to lose more before I'd make any decisions. Good luck whatever you decide.

Also, check your medical records and make sure your measurements are correct. Not in relation to WLS but I had an issue one time with a nurse putting info in wrong and it showed that my BMI was a lot lower than what it actually was cause she had made me taller on paper. 😬

I realize that a lot of people have higher BMI's than me. I turned 60 this year which almost makes me feel if when the insurance receives these pre-certs if that plays into their decision. I feel my age might be used against me here but idk. The thing is both of my parents died in their 60's due to complications of diabetes. They both had heart disease and heart surgery. They had many different illnesses and I have been fortunate so far as far as that goes. I just want to make a positive change now before it is too late!

    March 11 sleeve date

Ahhh man good luck on that! Hopefully they approve you with no problems. Thankfully, my surgeon didn't require me to lose weight.

Stay the course! There is a misconception that having weight loss surgery is somehow the 'easy' way out. I call BS! My husband initially was not supportive when I broached the topic years ago, but after learning more about the process and the health benefits, he was on board, not because the thought of surgery didn't still trouble him, but because he wanted me to be healthy, and happy. I was diagnosed in 2017 with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and have been in remission for over two years now. Though my oncologist could not tell me exactly how I came to have Lymphoma, there were many possible causal factors, one of which? You guessed it, obesity. I knew I needed to act, and after all we'd been through my hubby was all in to make sure my remission continued. I can only speak for myself when I say that the sleeve surgery was one of the best decisions I have ever made for me, physically and emotionally. I have never been happier. Do whatever it takes to get YOU to healthy and happy.

Girlfriend. You've just described a slippery slope. You are seeking it preferentially. And it's lighting up your brain like heroine. When a food does that to me, I flag it and red light it.
