    Thermage anyone?

I think that is the crux of it ... I'm ok with with subtle results from low cost options. But for real money, I'd be beyond disappointed at some of the "afters I've seen! That's great you see results in your neck. I definitely need some help in that area I also have one of those microneedling rollers. I don't think it has any effect either. What I am interested in is a combo of RF & Microneedling. One of the machines/companies is called Profound RF. Their before and afters are pretty dramatic. In the office where I got my filler, they had posters up for a different machine/company, and their neck example was AMAZING. But the prices I have seen are high, like over $1K. I'm just not willing to take that kind of financial risk In my plastic surgery thread @ms.sss brought up a facelift vs. theses non-surgical alternatives. I think it is a good question. If a facelift will cost $10-$12K, and be dramatic. How much does it make sense to pay for these more subtle alternatives?

    Tomorrow is the Big day

Hello all! Tomorrow Is my big day. And I am nervous and anxious. I’m ready to get it over with. I’m curious about if anyone was able to drink Gatorade after midnight?

@mousecat88 bread is a tough thing for me too. I haven’t had it in a long while but it’s an issue Because of my chronic illness and constant nausea and gut issues as well as loss of ability to taste properly. But even as a kid I’d want a bagel with butter over any other foods , plain and simple. I struggle with metabolic disorders and inability to exercise. Back in let’s say 2008 my weight was up to 215 + lb but bariatric surgery was not an option back then. I fought so hard to lose I fought the sugar addiction and went strict low carb and low calories. The lowest I got was 124lb. But my illness kept getting worse as it still is. It’s chronic and lifelong. And I have many medical conditions. At some point when we moved states I needed to restart my efforts after so much stress. I found a low carb bread and it was great. they make low carb bread, bagels, thin pizza crust, pastas. the ingredients are good, it’s a balance of fiber and protein. Their website is: http://www.greatlowcarb.com i was losing weight. Until I wasn’t. I can’t say it had anything to do with their products. I was eating healthy, counting carbs and calories, eating healthy fats, etc. my worst thing was loving sweet kale salad with Gardein veggie foods like crab less crab cakes or cauliflower rice, etc. here I thought I was eating healthy things and my weight made a sudden jump. Actually it started while I was still strict low carb, low calorie. Went from 130-160 in weeks! Tried to get help from doctors and nothing. Decided to add more veggies and less meats. I mean who gets fat on veggies? And healthy fat like avocado? apparently me? So it scares me to dip into those foods even the healthy options. It’s hard finding foods when my tastebuds don’t work normally and haven’t in a long time and never got answers and plain toasted bagel with butter for some odd reason was always a comfort food. The low carb version actually tastes better. i end up limited on foods due to food allergies and eating foods that trigger it just enough to make me ill where I pass out Asleep from low oxygen and swelling, but not anaphylaxis. I think we all have a food we crave for certain reasons. I’ve dealt with my addiction in a way. And just put on my plate what I’m going to eat. But still don’t understand what caused the past gains when my eating was good. I probably veered way off topic. Sorry.

If you can tolerate Stevia and Monk Fruit try Iconic Protein. It is not plant based, it is milk based. I buy mine at Amazon. I cannot tolerate aspartane or sucralose. There are 20G or protein. I also have been using Purely Inspired … it is plant based, and too much whey upsets my stomach, but I like the French Vanilla and use it in my coffee in lieu of half and half. I also have gotten that on Amazon.

    Stomach stretching

I think it is possible to stretch it out. I had the sleeve... now granted I did have lots of stents put in to fix a leak, but I started to gain weight pretty quickly after everything had healed. I only lost weight because I was on TPN for 3 months and wasn't able to eat or drink anything. I had an endoscopy and the GI guy was shocked that I had lost any weight at all because there was little to no restriction. That's why I went on to have the Bypass. So... something definitely stretched out for whatever reason.

    Feeling Discouraged PreOp

This is the time to let go of behaviors and foods that will be even more difficult in recovery. The best thing I ever did preop was to get rid of sugar, caffeine, processed food, and soda. I did not have to go through sugar and caffeine withdrawal while I was healing. Recovery is hard enough without sugar cravings and caffeine headaches.

Thank you again - esp for the profile advice, I think I have it all added now THANK YOU so much! Thank you Uomograsso! I am ordering this to try now! You JUST had your surgery, how did you find this? I have been having a hard time finding one not only with no sucralose but also that's not too sweet for me now! Also, how does all your info show up under your profile? ( and the weight timeline in your signature?)? This site says my profile is complete...I just joined today and there is not much direction, it also said I can get points for reviewing my surgeon (which I want to do, he was amazing!) I found where to look him up and he's "unverified" and I could not do a review but others had? And had listed him as their surgeon but I can't see where to do that. Any help is appreciated! 🙂

Keep us updated on the results, if you could. I started on RF treatments on my face and neck. I only had a few because even the results the nurse was prod of and showed me were subtle. The suggested number of treatments would be in the $1K range, and then regular maintenance after that. It just felt like money poorly spent, IME. I am curious about microneedling + RF. They have fantastic before/afters. But even more expensive, and are they realistic results?

    Food ideas?

Me, too - gave away my sugar free jello because it causes pain (am six weeks out.) But I'm only taking in 850-950 calories a day so it's no longer needed, thank goodness. It did help me with weight loss prior to surgery, though.

    Food ideas?

My fav to this day and I started it in purées my 2nd week post op (I was sleeved on 12/12/19) is I put refried beans in a bowl, add ground beef (I puréed this that 2nd week) and then add salsa and cheese. Microwave it and bam! Super easy. I’m 5 weeks out now and I still make it all the time. I’ve even added olives, used turkey meat instead of ground beef.. I like it cuz it’s quick and a lot of protein!!
