Well it's been a great chatting with everyone. I appreciate all the answers I've received on here. I decided a couple of days ago that I personally think that I have nothing to offer anyone on this site or any other site so I decided my time was limited on here. I figured that I would wait till after my first follow up appointment, announce what happened in the office visit and the tell everyone goodbye. So goodbye y'all. I wish everyone gets to the weight goals that your shooting for. Adios.

Thanks for your encouraging post. Sadly, I've tried all different BCP's, Natural Progesterone Cream, Metformin, Acupuncture....However I haven't taken Clomid due to my extra weight. I'm thinking I may give that a try once I'm down to 215/200 or 1 year post-op at least. I know that I sometimes ovulate, and my OB-GYN thinks I have had several chemical pregnancies. Gives me hope to know that others struggled and still got pregnant. Good luck with your pre-op, it took me a year to get the courage to make an appointment, and was approved in three months, but waited six due to work/grad school/time off etc. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster three weeks, but I'm down over 25 pounds so I can't complain.

WHAT am I doing wrong ?

Hi everyone, I had my By Pass done on December 16th 2019 and for the first two weeks after the operation I lost 12 lbs in weight. Since then I have only lost 4 lbs in 3 weeks and I even make sure that I have (75g) 3 times a day 25g of protein shake that I make with half water and half milk in the glass totalling 200ml and I also drink plenty of water each day, and eat 1 or 2 low fat yogurts and a bowl of soup each day. I am in a wheelchair and I can’t exercise much due to a Stroke, but I try. So.... please if anyone might have an idea as to what it is I am doing wrong, I would be very grateful to hear from them as it is really starting to get me down now. I am now beginning to think it is maybe because I’m British 😜 as everyone else in the world seems to be having much better luck than me 😁. Thank you so much for your help and take care.

    * WEEKLY CHECK IN DAY *

Hey everyone... I'm nervous and full of anxiety. Had my final pre-op appointment Friday 01/17 @ Kaiser. Surgery is Friday 01/31 @ 10:19 AM , check in is @8:15 AM. 1 day liquid diet, but my nerves aren't supporting much of an appetite. I'm emotional, antsy and tired. I want to cry (from excitement, but not sure). I'm just feeling a bunch of emotions and feelings. This is my weekly check in.

    I'm so upset, I'm a slow loser

I lost a total of 100 pounds . Thirty before my surgery, 70 pounds afterwards. It took me twelve months to lose that seventy. I too saw people losing ten pounds a week. I think those people are the extreme. Slow and steady is good. Be prepared for frustration and stalls. My surgery was almost ten years ago and I have been able to keep most of the weight off, right now I’m seven pounds up.

My OB/GYN thinks that I have had PCOS since I was a teen/puberty. I have 4 children. This isn't me trying to boast. I'm currently on Mirena. All of the times I got pregnant I was on the mini pill. Progestin-only no other hormone. I've only conceived between these weights. 230lb to 270lb. I'm not sure how uncommon it is for that to balance someone out. During blood work, Progesterone and Vitamin D are the only levels that ever showed up alarmingly low for me. So my OB/GYN recommended Mirena instead to make sure I don't have an accidental pregnancy or trouble with continuous bleeding and sporadic periods. I feel slightly embarrassed and erroneous saying I'm technically infertile. Without the mini pill, I likely wouldn't have been able to have children. I wonder if seeing an endocrinologist specifically for fertility-related reasons would help just to raise whatever is low. I was also on 500mg of Metformin with my last baby so that may have also been at work with the progestin. I hope I'm not being offensive to you or your OB/GYN. Maybe I was just a rare case that isn't similar to most PCOS hormone imbalances. So this wouldn't be helpful at all. I just thought it might be worth a shot later on. I'm only done with the first stage of my insurance for Weight Loss Surgery. I don't have a surgery date yet. I was just told by the weight loss clinic that my file was processing this last week and I'd hear back in 2-6 weeks. I hope everything goes well for you and the weight loss is enough to right everything naturally and that you find something to prevent it in the meantime if that's what you are trying to do. ❤️

I agree with working out and things post op or post goal as above it may take months of hard work to see a difference in the saggy skin but it's not impossible as @AZhiker said!!

it's due to all the IV fluids. I've heard of people gaining up to 10 lbs from them. They should be mostly (if not all) gone by the end of the first week, so your weight will start heading down.
