WHAT am I doing wrong ?

Hi everyone, I had my By Pass done on December 16th 2019 and for the first two weeks after the operation I lost 12 lbs in weight. Since then I have only lost 4 lbs in 3 weeks and I even make sure that I have (75g) 3 times a day 25g of protein shake that I make with half water and half milk in the glass totalling 200ml and I also drink plenty of water each day, and eat 1 or 2 low fat yogurts and a bowl of soup each day. I am in a wheelchair and I can’t exercise much due to a Stroke, but I try. So.... please if anyone might have an idea as to what it is I am doing wrong, I would be very grateful to hear from them as it is really starting to get me down now. I am now beginning to think it is maybe because I’m British 😜 as everyone else in the world seems to be having much better luck than me 😁. Thank you so much for your help and take care.

Video: Working out <6months post op

Just wanted to share this video, as I found it to be super interesting, along with most of this Doctor's other videos. I'm definitely not a Doctor, so don't take this as gospel, and please follow what your surgeon tells you! Warning: Some Profanity, so make sure your kids aren't nearby!! (He tells it straight) [/url]Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J327AZ using BariatricPal mobile app Edit: I forgot to add the most important part -- this is only regarding immediately post op up to around 6 months post, not forever. My apologies!

    Hydration

I am about two months out and it's still a struggle. I think I can do about 40 oz on a good day. I just keep the bottle with me and make a concerted effort to sip every single time I think about it. To be honest, 40- 50 oz was the same amount I was drinking pre surgery.

I guess I had just the opposite of what I hear a lot here on the boards. I had GERD pre-sleeve, but ever since the operation, it's gone away.

it's due to all the IV fluids. I've heard of people gaining up to 10 lbs from them. They should be mostly (if not all) gone by the end of the first week, so your weight will start heading down.

I’m having my gastric sleeve in October. I had the gastric ball a year ago and got soooo much flack from my family for having that. I’m not telling a single soul. Not my family, not my boyfriend, not work. I’ll just tell my work that I’m having minor surgery and since I’m self-paying, get a doctors note to excuse me for time off and as for my family, I’ll just keep quiet and if it comes up, just casually mention I had hernia surgery or something along those lines and I’m working out and new diet.
