I know that the weight loss slows down around 6-8 months. Per my surgeons office. I didn't expect a screeching halt. At least you are still seeing some loss!! That's a good sign! I love having this forum to touch base!!!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm actually 9 months out but started stalling at 6 months out. I've only lost 6lbs since October! I've just started intermittent fasting this week and am hoping it helps to get things started again. I also saw something about a "pouch reset". What does that consist of? Willing to try anything at this point! I still have 30lbs to go before I reach my 100lb weight loss and only have 3 months to do it 😕

Perfect!!! I did that same exact thing!! I had a Goal 1 then a Goal 2 then a Goal 3!! So I kinda backed into it cuz I didn't believe I would do it! Good for you for coming back to center girlie!! I did have a stall at 6 months. I think it lasted a good while. LOL. I had to get back refocused and quit cheatin on myself. The fewer times you go off the wagon during WLM the better, quite honestly. It's harder and harder the more you reinforce that behavior.

    Regaining weight

https://asmbs.org/patients/bariatric-surgery-misconceptions Misconception: Most people who have metabolic and bariatric surgery regain their weight. Truth: As many as 50 percent of patients may regain a small amount of weight (approximately 5 percent) two years or more following their surgery. However, longitudinal studies find that most bariatric surgery patients maintain successful weight-loss long-term. ‘Successful’ weight-loss is arbitrarily defined as weight-loss equal to or greater than 50 percent of excess body weight. Often, successful results are determined by the patient, by their perceived improvement in quality of life. In such cases, the total retained weight-loss may be more, or less, than this arbitrary definition. Such massive and sustained weight reduction with surgery is in sharp contrast to the experience most patients have previously had with non-surgical therapies.
