    Insurance approved

I know everyone is different but I didn't have much pain after surgery so hopefully you will be the same. I was worried about getting sick because I've had issues with pain medicines making me sick in the past (my chart says I'm allergic to Demoral but it isn't really an allergy, it just made me terribly sick after I had my wisdom teeth taken out). I'd just be sure to tell the surgeon about your concerns. ...They put a patch behind my ear to help with nausea before surgery (I think I wore it for a couple days). They were also giving me liquid medicines for nausea for a while too in the hospital. I never threw up. Now that I think of it I have nausea medicine that I got filled prior to surgery and I've never had to take it (surgery was last July). Good luck with your surgery!

    Compliments

Anytime I hear complements helps boost someone's positivity it reminds me of: “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” Proverbs 16:34 💚Congratulations💚

1+ week post plastics update: My flight home made swelling skyrocket 😳😅. Luckily I was forewarned this would be an issue❤ My legs (thighs) were so puffy for the last 2 days that they rubbed again. So I slept with my legs extremely elevated and took a diuretic and it helped A LOT. I was 164 lbs yesterday and now 156 lbs this morning. Yeah. I cannot find a lymphatic massage therapist in my immediate area so I am going to do it myself with includes me buying the machine from Amazon 😍. I actually could tell the difference in my swelling, posture and stiffness before and after the massage so I need to do these. I'm super glad I had 3 sessions (really 2: 1 regular and 1 extended) and asked a ton of questions. Also the therapist showed me how everything worked and explained the process thoroughly. I'm still wearing the compression socks along withq abdominal binder all day & night. I am only taking a few breaks between to readjust but sadly I'm far too swollen to even attempt the Faja yet (and I did attempt it 😔) All of my pain is still in the abdominal area. Nothing, absolutely nothing from my breast. But can feel sensation on the left more than the right breast (but both nipples seem to be working still ❤) I can go with no pain meds or just Tylenol during the day and sometimes, something stronger at night. Doing pretty well 💚

    Hospital Bag

All I took out of my bag was my phone, my power bank, and my hairbrush. Probably would've worn chapstick too, but I didn't bother. I packed a couple pads just in case I started in the hospital, but I didn't start my cycle until the day after discharge. Wore the same clothes I came in, but did not wear my bra when leaving. My Kindle and deodorant were neglected; I simply showered when I got home. The hospital will not like it if you wear lotion to the hospital. You're going to be given sanitary wipes to completely clean off when you are there (plus antibacterial soap to use prior to arrival). I barely had enough energy to go to the bathroom, walk down the hallway, watch TV, and read social media. You'll be sleeping most of the time you aren't being poked and prodded for medical tests. Not necessarily for the hospital, but I'd pack a pillow and leave it in the car for when it's time to go home. The ride home was bumpy and I coughed a lot so it helped having that brace.

    Hospital Bag

You don’t need to bring all that. I took a bag and out of the 6 things (if I remember it was a portable charger, face wipes. Adult Coloring book and makers, chapstick, hair brush and an extra pair of underwear) only used one; charger for my prone. Slept most of the time I was at the hospital.

    Hospital Bag

I would just caution against bringing anything with a heavy scent. I had to share a room, and if my roommate had brought aromatherapy oils or scented lotions I would have cried.

    Dizziness in the shower?

Gotta wait for the labs. Could be Anemic or hypoglycemic or hypotension or... anything . My resting heart rate is between 40 and 50 ( beta blockers ) and that's after cutting the dose in half. At least I don't feel like I'm going to pass out anymore. Could you please follow up when you find out ? Be well

How's your iron/vitamin D intake? Protein macros? Hydration? Also, how rapidly you move. I have to be careful of that because I'm usually rushing too quickly, and this was ESPECIALLY true the first 12 months out of surgery Sent from my SM-J727R4 using BariatricPal mobile app
