So, update.... I gave all of my bread and crackers to my stepdad. Just better NOT to have it in my house. I will still allow it if I am out at a restaurant... but it doesn't need to be in my home where I can just eat it every meal. Already dropped 2lbs by reverting back to my strict bariatric-friendly diet. I plan on having some falafel on a pita for lunch today - my "bready" treat for the week - going to lunch with a coworker.

Aldi Zero Net Carb bread was a THING back in the fall. Quickly went out of stock due to demand (think Popeye's Chicken Sandwich). But rumor has it is is back as a regular item, but supplies are still spotty https://www.delish.com/food-news/a29520804/aldi-keto-friendly-sliced-bread/

It's going to slow down once you get into Onederland, but you've done OUTSTANDING! Way to go!

Weight loss always slows down as you get closer to goal. You have done really well so far don’t stress too much if the last bit comes off slower. You shouldn’t need to go to IF or similar at this stage. Rather focus on getting in protein and good healthy carbs in small portions and keep moving. Also staying away from mashed potatoes may help, they are very easy to overeat. What is your BMI now?

    Sleeved on 12-13-19

The turkey neck will disappear in a few weeks. Sleeved 11/20 and I had the same issue. I was so worried! Stay hydrated and the skin will eventually tighten up. 😁

Girlfriend. You've just described a slippery slope. You are seeking it preferentially. And it's lighting up your brain like heroine. When a food does that to me, I flag it and red light it.

Keep in Mind, the ER Nurse is ONLY going to see those with issues. Those of us that have had absolutely no issues have not been to the ER.

Yup, it is your choice and I applaud you for wanting to get healthier. I was 63 when I got my bypass and it is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have my life back! I am doing things now I never could have dreamed of a year ago. And you know what? I can eat ANYTHING I WANT! I just don't want the same junky stuff anymore! I went out to eat tonight with our staff and had a wonderful meal with lots of leftovers to bring home. After surgery, your tastes change and as you build your new lifestyle, you will start choosing healthier options in small portions. I promise you - a year after surgery you CAN eat anything you want, but you just won't want the same foods or same portions. You will also have learned to exchange the pleasure from food with pleasure from things that are more meaningful and lasting. You will be free from the entrapment of food and the chains of always needing food to meet your emotional needs. You still have to do the hard work, but surgery is an incredible gift and tool to help you get the life back that you have lost and deserve to find again.
