    tightening loose skin

Has anyone tried using weight lifting/muscle strengthening for a better look for your loose skin? How well does it work? how long does it take to notice a better look if u go semi aggressively, and what amt of weight is good for muscle building?

I came across these exercise videos (provided by the UK NHS - National Health Service, nil charge), there is a good range of cardio, resistance, yoga, pilates, even a belly dance video. Some of the pilates and yoga videos are geared towards those with specific health issues eg arthritis. A lot are for beginners, and it doesn't look like much, if any, equipment is needed. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/nhs-fitness-studio/

    Grainy Hummus

You should be fine at 4 weeks post-op. Did you have any problem with the couple of spoonfuls you ate? It's soft food, so I'm sure it's okay.

Thank you! He’s a breath of fresh air for sure! Went on liquid diet right after he arrived in my life. Had to explain on our first date why I was just having water. Didn’t faze him a bit! He’s wonderful! I definitely don’t want a baby, and he doesn’t want more kiddos either. Preventing pregnancy is why I got it. I don’t know why I’m so worried tonight. Thank you for the PSA. Seriously! It’s a good reminder, and I appreciate how you worded it. I don’t mind at all! Thankfully, we were both tested & discusses it before being intimate. Adding to the PSA - it might feel uncomfortable bringing it up, but it’s definitely something you need to do before you’re in the heat of the moment! We talked about it over text, and then moved to a phone call, so it was less awkward that way.

    Sleeve to SIPS

Loop Duodenal Switch / SADI-S / SIPS are different names for the same procedure. A modification of the traditional Duodenal Switch with a single anastomosis (cut and reattachment of the small bowel) vs two with the traditional DS and a longer common channel (250 cm vs 100 cm) to allow for greater nutrient absorption. Both this procedure and the traditional DS include a sleeve gastrectomy.

    Fluctuating Emotions Pre-Op?

Well, I had wildly fluctuating emotions before surgery that were all about being nervous about the surgery, ranging from excited to terrified. I was so nervous on the day of the surgery that I almost called it off just before I was being wheeled into the operating room. I'm guessing that your emotions do have a lot to do with your upcoming surgery, even if you say you are not nervous. You should also be aware that there will be lots of ups and downs after surgery as well. That's where this forum can be really useful, because you'll learn that what you are going through is not unique.

    Probiotics

Yes, I take them but I've had RNY. Here's a cool article that came out on ABC: https://abcnews.go.com/Health/Healthday/story?id=8114829&page=1 Taking probiotics may allow us to lose weight better following WLS.
