We are in a learning phase in the beginning, how to make good choices, what foods and how much are good. You can do this! Does your surgeon have a support group so you can get support from people other than your family?

    Issues still...

I had the same problem four months out ended up I wasnot chewing food good enough. So it would get stuck in my chest and I’d end up puking every-time. Take smaller bites and chew more. And for the vitamins I would always get sick when taking them. The only ones that sit well are the fast dissolving bariatricpal ones on here I use the prenatal ones.

    Soft food stage

I start soft foods soon as well. Pureed meats are nasty. There is no other way of going about it. Pureed foods have not been my friend due to texture issues. 🤢 I will be so glad to eat meat and other protein foods and not get a sick feeling while it's in my mouth. I can chew, chew, chew and be ok. Lol. Looking forward to being able to eat with my family again. Good luck. Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app

What did the dr say? At this point out you shouldn't have such a hard time keeping things down. Unless you are taking too much at a time Sent from my SM-G950U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Weight tracking-preop

Good habit to start getting into more, before surgery. It will also help to start seeing the different macronutrients and calories the different foods you eat have so you can adjust your choices as needed. You've got this!

Weight loss is going very slow.

I lost 16 lbs the first MONTH and I started off at over 300 lbs. Your body's going to lose at the rate it loses depending on a whole host of factors, most of which you have no control over (e.g. age, gender, metabolic rate, starting BMI). All you can really control is whether not you stick to your surgeon's plan. If you stick to it, the weight WILL come off, whether fast or slow. I was a slow loser from the get-go, but I was very committed to my plan, hardly ever strayed from it, and ended up losing 100% of my excess weight. and yes - there are many who believe "starvation mode" is a myth.

Wow, that's amazing! Congratulations and thank you for your feedback. I am starting to feel better about my progress and have moved to mushy foods. I'm very thankful to be able to get down some good protein. Hoping the scale will start moving!
