Keep in Mind, the ER Nurse is ONLY going to see those with issues. Those of us that have had absolutely no issues have not been to the ER.

Please don't beat yourself up, Clair!! Whoever told you the weight would "fall off" is SO wrong!! Nothing happens overnight. The pounds didn't load on overnight, They're not going to leave overnight. Congratulations on your 2 years sobriety! It's not an easy feat. You did that! You can do this!! 22 pounds in 2 weeks is GREAT!!! Hang around here - we have your back! You can do this, Clair!! You can!!

    4 Days Post-Op, And...

Lactated ringers and constipation may be the culprit. It takes a while for excess fluid/waste to leave your system and the scale to reflect your efforts. Good Luck 💚

Acid reflux is seriously a pain!!

I used to have acid reflux and GERD, but a few months post-op sleeve, they went away and have been gone for nearly a year now.

I let go of some focus of weight goals I’d set while working on my health issues and I think I’m on the edge of healthy weight. In all honesty I’m at the lowest I’ve been in a long long time. My perception of time sucks as in doesn’t exist but when I first fought to lose weight against metabolic disorders and physical disability I might have hit 125lbs it didn’t stay there long before settling at 135lbs. I’m hoping due to my height and bone density change over the years that I can reach optimal goal weight for me of 100lbs (106lbs dressed) or in that general vicinity. I’ve a sinking feeling I can’t hit goal without some skin removal surgery though might there be some eating disorder issues involved. Probably. But I’ve struggled to deal with this alone for many years. I’d say it’s par for the course with Autism. Do I wish I didn’t need to worry so much, sure? But between metabolic disorders, physical disability, and inability to exercise it naturally complicates things. I’m trying to take things moment to moment and not worry about the goal weight but at the same time it’s in my mind the issue of excess skin skewing the numbers and how I see my weight.

    Lord help me....

Did it make you sick? Be careful and don't get any solid food for a couple of weeks post-op. Don't worry about the slip-up, it's not the end of the world.

    Lord help me....

Nobody on this forum is perfect except me! JK Do not fret that it happens you have to live normally - Most of that event was in your head, As a chef you have to taste food while prepping it, but like said before ................. You did not get the ticket to the obese ball cuz you just tasted while cooking.

In my honest opinion, doctors are trained off of the universal scale to height measurements. This , however, doesnt prove the "true" healthy weight for YOU. I am also large build and have always been overweight most of my life. I plan on having my weight at 150 is my goal. if a doctor tried to tell me that it was too low , i would tell them to shove it! that is just me . nobody was made with the same structures. For example like in genetics, my skeleton is not the exact same as yours and i have muscle mass already.Goodluck!

My body picked for me. Once I got to a certain weight I just stopped losing.
