I have noticed a few posts on clothing recently and wonder if it would be possible to set up a clothing swap forum? Or if it would even be feasable?

Someone used to swear by keeping Papaya or tummy enzymes on hands for those kinds of emergencies? I've never tried them, so don't know what kind to tell you to get. Sorry you had that scare!!! I do know that others talk about the foamies and that walking also really helps. Don't know how that works either! Glad you're feeling better! Be sure to go back a stage for the next couple of days to give your esophagus a rest. It's likely pretty inflamed!!

Agreeing with he posts about metabolism above. Our guidelines would help some people - but not people with other stuff going on. Post-op, my diet is not that different from pre-op. I've been vegetarian since I was about 8, I have been logging food and exercise daily in MFP for 7 years and keeping to a calorie deficit, I drink the same amount that I did before (124 oz or more a day). My calories are a little lower right now as I was going on 1300 or less a day for the years before surgery, but not much difference. When I went home for the summer, my old friends didn't notice much of a difference in the amounts I eat now and the amounts I used to eat. But I have PCOS and my hormones were beyond messed up - I really believe that surgery was the only thing that was going to work for me. Even with that, it's taking ages for the weight to come off - I was told to expect extremely slow loss, but it was still a bit of a shock how slow compared to others. So now I try not to compare, LOL.

    Cardio vs Weight Training Regiment

I am looking for guidance on the best workout routine with my busy schedule now that school is back in session for my kids and I am also going back to school at night to get my degree and I work 50 hours a week. I have equipment in my home for both cardio (bike and elliptical) and weight training (bowflex), but I'm not sure the best frequency for doing both independently and/or simultaneously. Right now, I've been doing the cardio every day and then every 2nd or 3rd day I am using the bowflex for strength training. I am 5 months post-op and I have lost a total of 100 lbs since September of 2018. Thoughts?

Hi Folks - it has been over 2 years since my surgery and though I've lost plenty of weight, I have done a horrible job doing any kind of follow-ups about my health. I know that I am probably dealing with some serious vitamin deficiencies (I have weird bruising and am still dealing with hair loss). What kind of specialist/s should I be seeing to get my blood levels checked and to get better long term supplement advice etc? Part of my problem is that I moved away from the city where I had my surgery, so I no longer have access to my surgeon. If anyone has any specific recommendations for doctors in NYC area, that would be so awesome.
