Someone used to swear by keeping Papaya or tummy enzymes on hands for those kinds of emergencies? I've never tried them, so don't know what kind to tell you to get. Sorry you had that scare!!! I do know that others talk about the foamies and that walking also really helps. Don't know how that works either! Glad you're feeling better! Be sure to go back a stage for the next couple of days to give your esophagus a rest. It's likely pretty inflamed!!

Thank you all for your advice! As I was hemming and hawing about going to the ER, and after 4 hours of agonizing pain and frothy spit, I suddenly felt way better as the food worked its way out! Ugh. What an awful experience! Do you think I stretched out my anastomosis permanently? Or should I be fine? I really need to remember to chew, chew, chew, and maybe avoid chicken unless it's ground!! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm scheduled for my sleeve at BB on 10/9! I have a friend who had hers done there in Feb of this year. Said the experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I was skeptical too. So far, they have been super easy to work with. I also did the fast track program. The only thing I'm nervous about is the flight home and not having easy access to my surgeon if there are any complications. Please share your progress/experience with me as I'm looking to find friends who have also been sleeved here! <3

That's what I'm thinking as well... I believe my cousin has an h.m.o. that won't cover WLS, so she'll be full cash pay. Sounds like I might have to start Gov g her info on MX. I personally had nothing less than an outstanding experience there, but as with anything unknown, totally understand the fear. I know you'll do great! 👍 Sending well wishes. 😊

    Advice/opinions wanted

@darcyjaethank you for your honest words I will suck it up and let it go but I don’t think I can muster up an apology to her. I was kind to her and she said terrible things to me. I know she would have asked why she wasn’t included if the tables were turned but me asking her was out of character. I appreciate your advice.

I would be inclined to go to the ER as things continually coming back up is not a good thing. Doesn't your surgeon have 24 hr emergency coverage for these types of cases (he should...there should be someone on call 24/7 in these practices)? I would call to get their opinion - it may be a 'go to the ER' or it may be one of those 'it will settle down and pass in time' things.

    Anyone dating after surgery

@Lena809 Sorry you were conned by a jerk. I have no dating stories/hints/tips but I hope you find the right person for you. We all deserve to love and be loved. Are you happy being single though? I always find people meet nicer partners when they are happy in their own company. But this can be hard if you feel lonely. Anyway good luck

What a Difference a Poop Makes!

Pooping makes the world go around! The world go around! The world go around! Many think this song should be about money, but nah...I think it's all about the (Mr. Hanky). Good Lord! So I've been through MOM 60ml x 3 days, Mag Citrate 400mg Pills Daily, Mag Citrate Liquid (1/3 bottle--oh the humanity! Never again!), Smooth Move Tea, and Miralax x 2 days, psyllium 12g x 3 days, chia seed pudding (standing by), and daily Colace 250mg pills...and finally. Finally! FINALLY! The earth moved. I would like to thank the academy. I feel such a sense of relief. I was seriously bloated, uncomfy, was 4 lbs up on the scale, and generally in a pissy mood yesterday. I was miserable. Now, this morning...I feel light as a feather and so relieved. No more pain, distended tummy, nuttin honey. Life is good again. Nowwwww....wax eloquently and profusely about how much better you feel when the trains are rolling down the track on schedule!!! Ok, go!
