First, I do not take ambien or any other controlled sleeping medicine. The only new medicines I have been on since this started is ActiGall and Pepcid AC Is anyone doing strange things in the middle of the night? I will "come to" and be sitting on the edge of my husbands side of the bed. No idea how I manage to do that Just sitting there. I will come into the dining room and be so out of it hubby says go back to bed and I will randomly pick something up off the table that I think needs to go to bed with me books, paper, bowls, silverware. There have been a few nights that apparently I am doing into the garage and opening the garage door in the middle of the night. Then theres this from last night I have no idea why I did this..but I am a little impressed I managed to make room in the fridge for it lol

    What's your protein goal?

Normally, our protein goals should not change markedly between when we are losing and when we are maintaining weight, as the goal in each case is to maintain our lean body (or muscle) mass, which (hopefully) won't change much as we lose the fat (there will inevitably be some loss, but we should try to minimize that with the typical protein recommendations and some strength oriented exercise.) Once reaching goal weight, then one can evaluate their body composition (fat and lean mass amounts) and make adjustments accordingly, or if one wants to go into a muscle building program, then an increase may be in order.

Yes I’m taking 5-6 different vitamins, I decided to not take b complex right now. I am on a very tight disability budget, I shop where I can get lower prices and extra savings both coupons and rebates through a site called Rakuten. But I do my best to budget in important things. I take gummy vitamins so what, we aren’t supposed to take tablets for the first few months post op. I talked to my nutritionist she said as long as there isn’t more than 4 grams of sugar in it it’s fine. They are easier to chew and I couldn’t find bariatric vitamins without added iodine. Things like centrum just go right through you. I just looked for more food based vitamins in a chewable form. Vitamins are very important after gastric bypass surgery. A single multivitamin especially just a basic one that isn’t food based or bio available won’t do much. Also your vitamins are adapted based on bloodwork and your own personal needs. if people want to rake me over the coals for what vitamins I take or what kind. Or if it looks expensive When All I did was answer a question. Then I guess I won’t comment anymore. If I could go back and remove my comments then I would.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on this app. I just want to say to everyone post wls, you are successful. Take this journey and make it your own. Be selfish. Put yourself and your health first. Hold yourself accountable and trust the process. Surgery doesn’t make the emotional eating goes away. It doesn’t make it bad to eat those things that aren’t healthy. I fell into that trap of thinking I was exempt and could slide by. But I got myself together and I began to focus on healthy living. I hope this picture inspires you to go forth and become a more healthier you. Take advantage of this new lease on life. Envision how you want your journey to be and make it happen.
