    I CHEATED

yep - part of your ultimate success is due to the surgery, and part of it is due to you. People who rely on the surgery alone are rarely successful. This takes work! So....now you know!

    I CHEATED

OMG! I have cheated! I feel horrible! I had a tiny piece of carrot cake yesterday and a couple spoonfuls of banana pudding and my stomach didnt reject it! I'm horrified now because I thought I would never be able to eat sweets again! My stomach betrayed me and I betrayed myself! Now that Im feeling better Im noticing that my.addiction to sugar is still there. I cant fail myself! Ugh! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    I CHEATED

This. WLS won't help cravings in the long run (at least it's like that for most of us as it seems) and one should be making plans on how to deal with them. The food triggers are everywhere (except maybe your own home if you're the one deciding what foods to buy or not) and other people usually won't accommodate to your dietary choices as well. I also wonder what kind of surgeon or dietician tells a patient that he/she will never be able to eat sweets again.

Stop Hard Core Workouts after Surgery

Question: Would you enter a brand new car you purchased into a Daytona 500 race? No So why would you start going to the gym shortly after getting a new stomach? If that worked for you (going to the gym) before surgery, why are you still obese? I haven't had surgery yet but I was into fitness/exercise before my slip/fall injury 2.5 years ago which has brought me to my August 27th VSG surgery. I've seen several posts of individuals wondering why their weight loss has stalled after 1 month because their lifting weights and going to the gym almost every day. Ask yourself, "What am I burning off?". You are taking in during your first month less than 500-600 calories, you are working that off at the gym and then, guess what "your hunger comes creeping back". No, I'm not an expert but I do have common sense. I want us all to be SUCCESSFUL & our first year is when we can turn this weightloss thing out!! So worry less about strenuous workouts and more on figuring out how to give your body more LOVE through figuring out how to balance out the right amount of food and nutrition. Remember - weight lose is 80 percent food and 20 percent exercise. Below information was taken from "Women's Health Magazine" Here's what that might look like: "I see this in patients all the time,” says Lofton. “People think, ‘If I run the marathonor start going to boot camp, I’m going to lose weight’ but they’re often disappointed when they don’t.” You don't need to hit an exact 80/20 ratio to shed pounds, but it is important for people to focus primarily on diet when they're trying to lose weight. "You can lose weight without exercise, but you cannot lose weight if your nutrition counteracts your energy expenditure through exercise," Matheny says. WE WILL ALL SUCCEED! God Bless

Hi everyone, I've always wanted to train muay Thai and learn the art of Muay Thai kick boxing. I've tried to train in the past, but due to my weight I was finding it hard to keep up with the class and had to always take a break and go stand outside to recover my breathe and cool down, anyway long story short I got discouraged and stopped. Now here's what I want to know. Once I start to lose a significant amount of weight and get my cardio health up, would I be able to train muay Thai again? Or am I asking for trouble in wanting to go down that route? Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app

    Is this normal?

Be sure to take your D3 and calcium together but apart from the multi. The calcium and iron don't go well together for absorption.
