    Breaking a Stall

Just wondering, I am at almost a year post surgery and I have been at a stall for months now. Has anyone not exercised much and still lost weight? Looking for menu ideas for day to day. I know I need to cut down on my carbs especially bread :-( I still cant eat much at one sitting and I do eat 4-5 times a day from yogurt to protein bars to protein filled meals. Do you eat red meat or did you make the switch to turkey and chicken only? I want to break this stall. I cant do protein drinks mainly because I got burnt out on them from pre surgery and post surgery. The banana one is the only one I can get down these days. I cant do the gym, I am looking into streaming the videos from beachbody.com. Just getting frustrated.

    Keto vs. No Keto

You estimated that you eat over 100g carbs daily... But this sounds like an oddly high amount of carbs for just yogurt/tuna/beans/citrus. What kind of yogurt, salad dressings and sauces are you eating in addition? Ex. Chobani blueberry vs Chobani plain yogurt You may need to incorporate less of the carb dense foods (beans are carb heavy, but fiber heavy too) with salads like with 1/4 cup of beans instead of just1 cup of beans

    Keto vs. No Keto

Absolutely agree. The prob that I can see is that she has a "set calorie threshold" that she wants to stay within and your cals are made up on only the 3 macros: protein, fat, carbs. So if you keep carbs low enough to get into keto...for most of us that's around 30g total carb max, then you have to fill up her calorie threshold with either protein or fat. OR drop the cals. Which is what I do. So she either has to eat a ton of protein (which can keep you out of ketosis) or she has to eat a wad of fat, which none of us need right now. Right? The solution is to really simply just hit your daily protein goal, stay at your carb # that you've set and let fat fall until you are comfortable and where those cals end up are where they end up. Mine usually is somewhere between 650-850 per day using that general rule.

    Breaking a Stall

I would say that I'm in the same boat by I'm not doing anything about it. I figure that my body is working things out and that eventually I'll lose weight again. Many things have not returned to "normal" for me: sense of smell/taste; appetite; amount that I'm able to eat (very little still); not sure about my continued hair loss. The thing that I find most distressing is the change in my bowels. I have very little holding power (going #2) and have had my share of accidents, both in my pants or right on the kitchen floor. It's humiliating. What am I to do when all of the bathrooms are occupied and I "have to go"? I now keep several pots and pans at the ready, but it makes me wince thinking about pooping in a pan because I can't hold it. I've also had accidents when I've been out and about. I'm not aware of it at first, then I notice an unpleasant wetness and I realize that I also smell bad. More than once, I've gone straight from the car into the shower. I also keep a large towel in the car to protect my seats. If this keeps up, I might consider diapers when I go out. Sheesh.

    Needing advice

I ran a temp of just over 100. One time it was 100.8. I had to go to the Er 2x due to being dehydrated. I'm not sure if it means anything (I did ok) but, it is best to call the Dr right away and get advice. Take care!

I've heard of people gaining up to 10 lbs from the IV fluid! It'll work its way out in a couple of days - maybe a bit longer if you're salt sensitive (that fluid has a lot of sodium in it) - but either way, just give it some time.

    No Interest in Food?

Why are you so rude today? Normally I'm interested in your comments but for some reason today, your advice seems nothing but patronizing and damn right bullying. If you don't like the posts, move on but no need to make the person who wrote it feel invalidated. . Jeez! 🙄🙄🙄
