Nope - you didn't make a mistake. You will feel like you did for the next few weeks though. What you did do was embark on an incredible difficult journey, which is going to be both terrible and absolutely amazing. When you come out the other side in 6, 12, 18 months or whenever you'll look back on it and it'll be one of the best decisions you ever made in your life. Focus on the day to day right now. Follow the plan as closely as you can, keep on top of the pain, call the DR if something isn't right. It took me weeks to get to the liquid goal and my calories were like ~300 per day for the first month, it got much easier after that. Once you start seeing weight loss (a few weeks) it'll be more motivating. For now keep busy, sip constantly (try watering your shakes down) and try to walk a lot gently as that helps with the pain.

    Post surgery MENUS?

I don’t know if there’s already one, but I’d be willing. To post my daily menus

The first couple of weeks, and in particular the first couple of days, can be ROUGH. It will pass. GreenTealael is right, pain management is helpful. You’ll be able to better get rest, etc. Do take little walks. It really can help with the pain.

    Post-Op Depression

Do you have it? Have you had it? How are you coping? I’m struggling mentally and need some words of encouragement!

Yup. Normal! Be patient with yourself and your new sleeve. Things will get better. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

It's normal, it's takes some people longer to heal, and for inflammation to subside. Just keep fluid intake high. I still had slimes/foamies and upchucked months out from food. And you have low energy from lack if calories, just make sure you get your protein and fluids in and a few vegetables and it will progress. You could however have a bit of reflux, you might try a small dose of prilosec to see if that takes care of it.

I hope you start to feel better about your decision soon and may your body start to show you that it's proud if you for giving it a chance to partake in an amazing quality of life.

I, personally, am not dating anyone until I reach my goal and after plastic surgery. I want to focus 100% on myself and this process takes a lot of dedication and time (for me, anyways) and I don't feel like I have the ability to focus or care about anyone other than myself right now in the way that I should if I were in a relationship. As far as just friendships, how you look shouldn't play any role in your friendships.

    Day 7 after surgery update

To ANYONE who has upcoming surgery: (Tips from a guy who had LapBand just had Gastric Sleeve) 1) You will be walking about an hour after you wake up. 2) You will be full on one or two ice chips 3) You may feel an immediate positive attitude. 4) You are not returning to work in one week. 5) Learn to sip. Slow 6) For myself, and many other on YouTube, you will feel full and NOT hungry after one 1 OZ sip 7) Follow your Doctors plan, talk to your Nutritionist; 😎 Use this forum, YouTube, and Your doctor. I was surprised I could not sip 1OZ every five minutes the first 5 days; it's critical to stay hydrated. Keep plugging along
