They tell you that once they have all the paperwork, it can take a month...but mine took 2 days. And from what I've heard, others have had similar experiences. I'm just surprised the doctors scheduled it before they had approval. I'm sure it will come in.

I have! There was a new form they needed my PCP to fill out and I’ve been waiting on them to send it back. I just called and they faxed it this morning so hopefully that’s the final thing to get my approval. Trying to remain positive.

    Medication

I had surgery on Sunday. I just got home today. My doctor sent me home with some prescriptions. They are mostly liquid but one of them is a capsule and one is a tablet. I started taking them today as per instructions. I'm just nervous because of some to the posts I've read on here about not taking capsules/tablets right away after sleeve surgery. Did any of you take capsules or tablets right away after your surgery? When were you cleared to start taking medication in tablet or capsule form? Shouid I just follow my doctor's instructions? Help! I don't want to cause any damage to my new stomach.

    Weight Regain - Need advice

@Vikingsfan8178 So much in common... VSG on 7/12/15 391 lbs presurgery / 362 lbs day of surgery / 220 goal weight and attained 214 lbs just before 1yr mark. Life was good for 3 solid years. Last year I lost my job, was unemployed for 4 months, found a good job that had a very intense 6 month training program - the last 12 months has been VERY stressful - Yes I fell off the wagon. It actually started when I got kidney stones - was told to ease off the protein, then a few months later I got gout for the first time in my life (im 41) on my right big toe - wow that is painful - again told to ease off protein. Here I am 4 years and 6 days post op and have many of the feelings described above. Today I called and made an appointment with the nutritionist. I am currently 280 lbs. I am still down a ton of weight but I feel like Sh*t. The sole reason I came back to this forum is for the support described above - I feel and see my weight but those around me dont feel like its a big deal, gained almost all of it in the past year - very discouraging. I still have restriction, the tool is not gone. One regular plate of food and I am almost always full - which wasn't the case pre surgery. I will be doing the 5 day reset then going from there. Keep your head up - you (we) can do it!

I took all my pills by swallowing them starting the day I got home from the hospital post-op. I haven't had any trouble.

[emoji38][emoji38][emoji38] This tickles my funny bone. Thanks for the laugh! They had ample warning that i'd be on the liquid diet so they were playing with fire lol.
