I had the same. Getting out of bed was really hard - thought I would rip apart. I used a small, very firm pillow to support my tummy every time I changed position, got out of bed, stood up, or rode in the car ( we have a bumpy road). I basically carried my pillow buddy with me everywhere for at least a couple of weeks. The pain gradually gets better.

    ❤My Revision Story❤

Day 1 at home: Working on fluids all day long. Gotta practice what I preach. But also I notice these photos were exactly one year apart both post op and maybe 10 lbs apart... I'm wearing the same shirt!

    ❤My Revision Story❤

Arrived at the hospital at 630 am. Registered and was taken to preop area to collect samples amd change clothes. I was immediately started on lactaded ringers (IV drip), vitals taken , met with the anesthesiologists then my surgeon. Asked final questions i was unclear about. & received answers Taken into the OR and was pit under general anesthesia. Awaken briefly in recovery where i advocated for the proper pain meds (morphine does not work for me), fell asleep again to be awaken when i was in my room where my lovely Boyfriend was already waiting. Amazing. Feeling. Labs & vitals every couple hours but I got up to walk around. Told my Guy to go home around 11pm so he could rest properly. Walked again 4-5 am, then started the water protocol at 6 am but fell asleep again. Now im resuming the drinking amd spirometerji All in all not terrible 😍

    Weight Regain - Need advice

@Vikingsfan8178 So much in common... VSG on 7/12/15 391 lbs presurgery / 362 lbs day of surgery / 220 goal weight and attained 214 lbs just before 1yr mark. Life was good for 3 solid years. Last year I lost my job, was unemployed for 4 months, found a good job that had a very intense 6 month training program - the last 12 months has been VERY stressful - Yes I fell off the wagon. It actually started when I got kidney stones - was told to ease off the protein, then a few months later I got gout for the first time in my life (im 41) on my right big toe - wow that is painful - again told to ease off protein. Here I am 4 years and 6 days post op and have many of the feelings described above. Today I called and made an appointment with the nutritionist. I am currently 280 lbs. I am still down a ton of weight but I feel like Sh*t. The sole reason I came back to this forum is for the support described above - I feel and see my weight but those around me dont feel like its a big deal, gained almost all of it in the past year - very discouraging. I still have restriction, the tool is not gone. One regular plate of food and I am almost always full - which wasn't the case pre surgery. I will be doing the 5 day reset then going from there. Keep your head up - you (we) can do it!
