    Help 😭😭

So who is buying the soda? Stop buying it. You are playing head games with yourself. This happens. Get back on the horse. One meal at a time, cut the carbs out. It's not that you fell off the wagon, it's that you get back on the wagon. Go get some sugar free popsicles or something to replace the binge sweets. You can do this one meal at a time. After 3 days the cravings will subside once you stop ingesting all those carbs. Add some good fats like avocado, coconut oil to help you feel sarisfied. Up your protein to 100grams. Get your bariatric materials out and reread them. Journal. Journal your food. Journal your gratitude.

Oh wow Fluffy, Mr. Sue hates that game too... lol I make him play. I need perspective like that as well. When I was 232 or bigger, I did not think of myself as that obese unless I saw a picture myself - I even came home and threw that outfit in the trash because I looked like $h!t in it from a picture. And now I have an even harder time seeing myself smaller - almost 'normal'. It's so weird.

So, from everything I read/heard before surgery, it would take my brain a while to catch up to my weight loss and I would still see myself as super heavy for a while. I seem to be the exact opposite - As I've lost, I've felt like I'm really small, then as I'm in a new size for awhile, I look at myself and realize I'm just not. So, I feel/think I look thin when I first get into a new size, then later feel/think I look fat. Not really ranting, it is just interesting how my perception of myself has been very different than I had been told it would be.

That is what I am trying to do...because there were days I was ravenous and wanted to eat EVERYTHING at 3 mos post op...It could also be the warmer weather just messing with my desires to eat. Either way I am gonna try to just go with the flow. Thanks for the pep talk on protein.....

Body dysmorphia. It's real. ((hugs)) One of the things that helped me and Mr. F. hates is my "Am I bigger or smaller than her?" game. He HATES it. But it is helping me see myself at my real size. I pick someone out who I think is WAY smaller than me and who is someone I perceive to have a perfect size/shape. Then I ask him, "Bigger or smaller." And he has to answer honestly. Then I spend a couple minutes scoping her out to try to memorize that look and I try to "feel" that shape. Does that make any sense? I'm ALWAYS surprised when he says, "Smaller." Always.

On my plan, i could have ground meats just before the solid food stage at week 6, I believe. Lettuce wasn't allowed until after week 9 due to the roughage part of it. I'm at 3 months out, off restriction and I still have issues with raw veggies, but it's getting better.

    High heart rate

You may want to run this by your surgeon's office. Generally when we leave the hospital we are given discharge directions. One of the items on the sheets is called "When to Call Your Physician". On mine item number 6 reads: "Chest pain, rapid heartbeat and/or dizziness." ------------------------------------------------------------------ Since your physician discussed leak, I did an internet search and found the following: Anastomotic Leak After Gastric Bypass Surgery Symptoms can occur a bit differently in each person. They can include: * Fast heart rate * Fever * Chills * Stomach pain * Chest pain * Shortness of breath (rapid breathing or difficulty breathing) * Fluid leaking from an incision site * Nausea and vomiting * Pain in the left shoulder area * Low blood pressure * Less urine * General feeling of discomfort (malaise) The symptoms of anastomotic leaking after gastric bypass surgery may look like other health conditions. See your healthcare provider for a diagnosis.

    High BMI

mine is 70. but I haven't had surgery yet so I can't tell you about my success yet! Previously I briefly lost down to 220 and with my body shape and bone structure I was hella cute and pretty happy with that, so my goal for surgery is to get to 200 and reassess. BMI be damned after all that work!
