Goal after I reach my goal.

With 39lbs left to go before plastics in November, I am starting to look towards my next goal. Last weekend, my coworker expressed that she was embarrassed at the gym because she didn't know how to use any of the equipment. I went in an hour before my class with her and showed her a lot of things. I timed her wall squats, showed her proper form, and every time she would say she sucked or was weak, I was the opposite of my usual self and was very motivating and encouraging. She even offered to pay me for the session! I've been thinking a lot about this and how great I felt helping someone else. I think I want to pursue a certificate in personal training in 2020 and do that part-time. It was so fulfilling! And I found myself echoing the things my trainer tells me. He's rubbed off on me!

WLS Brings Me Peace Of Mind

I totally understand where you're coming from. It was the same for me, just as much by family as by schoolmates, "friends" or random others. Congratulations on your success and best wishes for your future and your new baby! You can be so proud to be that dad who can run and play with your kids!

    Dumb Insecurity

I thought the same exact thing 6 months ago, post op RNY. This is where we change all our previous thought patterns. Trust the process! It's going to work! I remember asking my nutritionist, "What if it doesn't work for me?" She put her hand on my arm and just told me to keep up the good work, eat right/exercise and finally trust. I never trusted anything as much as I do this process. It will work!!

    Post OP regrets

From all I've read, the buyer's remorse phase is pretty common. We all experience it in one extent or another. Hang on... have faith that it's going to get better. We're playing the long game here. Lots of ((hugs)) to you! Sent from my SM-G960W using BariatricPal mobile app

    Post OP regrets

Why are you regretting it? Pain? Lack of food? You're only 5 days out, it's a marathon, not a sprint. Give it some time. It gets better. I don't have any regrets and I'm 5.5 months post-op.

Not That Bad a post, you're speaking from the 💘And no one should fault you for that! I am on the other side of the coin in one respect, Doctor just recently asked me Are You sure You Haven't had a Hysterectomy? like I haven't paid my dues. I'm pretty sure I would know and nobody ever told me it was a prerequisite to Bariatric Surgery any way. Makes me feel like a slacker, after all! Told my inquisit or You WAnt it, you can have IT, at 73 no great loss anyway! And then at least One Of Us will be Happy, Doctor Dear!

What to do about the GAS!?

Gas-X is your friend! Also, you can try taking probiotics to get more healthy bacteria in your digestive tract to help break down foods better.

Thank you :-) So empathise! Had another one I didn’t give in to the previous week. Drove myself to central Newcastle for a specialist appointment. Wasn’t without tension finding it, parking and getting done what I had to get done and really felt I deserved a ‘reward’. In my consultancy road warrior days used to regularly treat stuff picked up from service stations as somehow lesser calories cos I didn’t have much choice of places to grab food. So nearly swung into the McDonald’s that day, but pictured the nutrition charts and swigged down the drink instead. Starting to trust myself more :-)
