    weird question

I'm not sure how these people managed this. I was by far not perfect, but I could hardly get a but of yogurt down starting my 3rd week.

    weird question

The "foamies" are when you eat something that you're not ready for and you throw up, but you don't throw up food, you throw up foam and mucus and your stomach tightens and cramps up and you know right away that you shouldn't have eaten it.

    Packing is so much easier!

I’m down 75#. Biggest NSV is that packing for a trip is so much easier. My jeans take up a fraction of the space! For someone who packs carry-on only, this is a HUGE (or maybe small) deal. :). I was even able to pack tennis shoes to work out - I’d never have had room for that before!! Now I just have to resist the urge to fill my bag.

I still don't do pasta at four years out. Empty calories that take up stomach space. I have eaten zoodles a few times, and they're a decent substitute. condiments - they do have sugar, although I still used them occasionally. As far as spicy things, if you can tolerate them, there's nothing wrong with eating them. My sense of taste intensified after surgery, so sweet things tasted sweeter and spicy things tasted spicier. I couldn't handle spicy things quite as well as I could pre-surgery, and to top it off, I couldn't slam a glass of milk after eating something that was too spicy for me since we're not allowed to drink right after eating. SO...I did shy away from spicy things for awhile (I still don't eat anything *super* spicy, since I can't drink anything afterward to cool my mouth down!!)

    Fiber

RDA is 15-25 grams a day. People early out from WLS probably don't get nearly that much because we have to focus so much on our protein requirements (actually, most Americans in general probably don't get that much every day). So anyway, if you're in or under that range, theoretically you won't be overdoing it.

Hi Tiffany, I can understand your feelings. My surgery was on the the 14th and I have gone through feeling as if I made a huge mistake to wondering if I am going to be successful to wondering why I am still feeling hungry when following my plan. During my first appointment, I mentioned these feelings to the nurse practitioner and she stated those feelings are perfectly normal. As far as food and feeling hungry, I was advised that once I start on soft foods (this week), I will notice a vast difference between the liquid and puréed periods. This is is where the will work and willpower begins. I am still feeling apprehensive but let’s just take each day and process one step at a time. And if it makes sense, maybe step away from the scale for a couple of weeks until the liquid-soft food phase has passed.

    Regained after GS

    1) Because a revision to another method might indeed be helpful. 2) Because sometimes people need a second chance to get things right.

    Vsg to rny

Yes, that is exactly how I feel. I had the VSG in December 2014. A month or so after I had horrible GERD and my “full sensor” was way off within about 6 months. I only lost about 45 pounds total in the last 4 years and decided to get the revision. I got the bypass a few weeks ago and immediately there was no sign of Gerd. I’m praying my weight loss is much better.
