I have been giving away my clothes as I shrink. My pictures span decades, and it’s part of who I am. There are so many amazing memories in them, they stay.

    Buyers remorse

those feelings are pretty normal. As far as buyer's remorse, I've been participating in the bariatric community for probably six years, and I know (or know of) VERY few people who have regretted it. They all had complications - but complications are pretty rare, as I'm sure you've been told. I'd guess at least 95% of the people who've gone through it are so happy they did.

    Buyers remorse

You're not alone in all this. Just remember that. I went and saw my regular doctor today. He was telling me how much better I was going to feel. Hearing those kinds of things ease the fear a bit.

    Regained after GS

I found if I was slipping I went on the pre-surgery and post-surgery diet for a month. You need to cleanse your system of carbs, sugars and the other junk. Then you buy only healthy food, and you learn to respect your body and only allow good food to enter. Another trick is to eat half and pour water over the rest. Don't take it home. Just a few facts.

OMG, unless you are Wonder Woman, strong as a Bull, or have a High Pain Threshold, I don't see how an Outpatient RNY would go down! Yeah I had almost no pain post mine but I also wadnt marching out in a couple, hours and heading off to a mall or similar. I don't drive but even if I had been still licensed I wouldn't have been approved to drive and street shuttle buses, forget about it! Difficult for me to get into GirlFriend Kathy's SUV after 2 days, Surgery Wednesday at 7AM, released Friday 11 AM, put seatbelt on, pillow under it and clutched my RouxNY Rabbit like I was sleepy and a Toddler! And I arrived home 50 miles later in almost as good a condition as when I left and that was 3:30 so I would be in Columbus on Time, after struggling for over 3 years,to receive it I wasn't gonna let a. minor blip or vehicle accident stop me from my target!

    Scale weirdness

I'm about a month and a half out from my surgery, and I've lost 43 lbs. My scale number on Friday morning said 315 lbs. This morning, it was 317-318. Think this is just normal fluctuation? My diet hasn't changed, and I'm getting in my 60-80 grams of protein a day and all my water. I did try something this weekend that I ordered from the bariatric pal store, the guilt-free brownies that have 22 grams of protein in them per brownie. (Could only eat half a brownie at a time) I still ate under 700 calories per day. Weight gain makes little sense to me at this point unless it's just fluctuation or retaining a bit of water
