The only time you fail is when you stop trying and give up. We're all just imperfect hot messes on a journey. Right? So the first 2 weeks are the toughest as you're aware. You just commit. One day at a time. Choose life. Choose health. Choose joy. Choose happiness. Choose lightness. Choose success. Every day, get up. Look in the mirror and rechoose those things for the day. Don't look back. Morale rarely improves with beatings. But, once you log in a few days of healthy eating and see the scale start to move again, and start to feel more energy, it will feed itself and you will gain momentum. You can do this! Log and post often. Log weigh and measure your food. Keep a MFP food diary. You can do this!!

    Alternative Pasta

I know that pastas are not recommended because of empty carbs and that they can be difficult to pass through your pouch. What about chickpea and lentil pasta. Is it the same for these too? Also, I see this site sells shiritaki noodles. Can we eat those?

    Surgery went well

I started out thinking it tasted sweet like weak Kool-aid, now it tasted bitter. almost like the taste of bile refluxed up. Now what caused that? Wish I knew.

    1 Week Post-Op

It's better once you get to soft foods, then solid foods. Your stomach knows when to quit eating and you don't get real hunger anymore.

    Wish you had known before?

Hmm.. I guess I have a strong stomach in that sense because I haven't really had any issues like that. But maybe that will change in the future. I'm six months and a week post op. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Excessive regain?

I had gastric sleeve on April 29, 2013. In September 2015, I gave birth to a very premature baby boy, who lived in the NICU for 6 months before he passed away. During that 6 months, I didn’t eat. I drank so much coffee, and I had 1 sugar in each coffee. As you can imagine, I gained. I found out I was pregnant again 8 weeks after my son passed away. During that year and a half I gained back about 70 pounds. I have been trying to get back on track, but I can’t do it. My head just isn’t in the game anymore so to say. Yes, I still have 100lbs off, but I want to be where I once was. Has anyone else been in the same situation and got back on track?
