To me it means your golden year is your best time frame for weight loss. Weight loss surgery restriction is fantastic in your first months. Your surgery restriction will become less over time and weight loss slows down. “Taking advantage” means don’t waste this time frame. Follow your surgeons’ plan/instructions. Log your food, hit your calories and macro goals for the day, hydrate, exercise/activity and make behavior changes for the long term. We cannot control the “luck factor” Sex, age, medical issues, medications, complications, hormones and body physiology. What you can control is “working your plan” Decide how lax or strict you want to work this. Decide what you want out of your first year.

The only time you fail is when you stop trying and give up. We're all just imperfect hot messes on a journey. Right? So the first 2 weeks are the toughest as you're aware. You just commit. One day at a time. Choose life. Choose health. Choose joy. Choose happiness. Choose lightness. Choose success. Every day, get up. Look in the mirror and rechoose those things for the day. Don't look back. Morale rarely improves with beatings. But, once you log in a few days of healthy eating and see the scale start to move again, and start to feel more energy, it will feed itself and you will gain momentum. You can do this! Log and post often. Log weigh and measure your food. Keep a MFP food diary. You can do this!!

Ha! Constantly! Good times, right? Short answer is "it may" a little bit. Mine has. But it took the fat being completely emptied out of the skin in that area for the skin to grasp...oh! Lemme go short on protein a few days and I'll use some of this turkey skin to recycle protein. Congrats on your successes!

    1 Week Post-Op

It's better once you get to soft foods, then solid foods. Your stomach knows when to quit eating and you don't get real hunger anymore.

    Doctor is difficult

Most Urgent Care centers do H & Ps. If one is near you that might be an option until you find a new PCP.
