And now, I'm ecstatic to be in my friend's hand-me-down size 12 jeans! American Eagle ones, which I would NEVER buy for myself. And they are not tooo tooo tight, they are comfy and on the looser side, so maybe a 10 soon? Size 10 is the smallest size I ever wore as an adult!! I am so glad I did this!

    Aetna Approved

I am so happy!! I just called Aetna and they told me that they approved my surgery last Friday. This morning I got clearance from anesthesiologist and Wednesday I start my 12 day pre op diet. Two shakes and 4-6 oz lean protein and a small salad or vegetables (optional 2 small snacks). I guess I will be enjoying a few favorite meals today and tomorrow. April 29th here I come!!

THANK YOU! I too have PCOS and I have never heard from another’s experience with IR and PCOS, I can’t even tell you how helpful this is and how much hope it gives me. I too have been eating 1300/1500 calories for years and still gained. In the past it seemed that there was *nothing* I could do to make the scale budge, no matter how patient I was. My main motivation for the surgery was bc I have read quite a lot about how sleeve can immediately improve IR. As soon as the scale stopped last week my first thought was “oh no, here we go again”. Your story gives me so much hope (something I haven’t had in years)! Thank you!!!!

Keep at your Dr as dehydration is awful. I too found warm liquids much better, and salty/savoury flavours like soup. I couldn't tolerate protein drinks and still can't 6 months out (I get foamies and throw up). Try and relax, when I'm upset or stressed nothing goes in to my sleeve! Powerade was great as once my electrolytes got sorted then I felt less sick and was able to drink more. It truly does get better!! But definitely get medical help if it doesn't come right soon.

    Waist trainers

The corset is designed to move your rib bones over time. Reality, weight loss did more for my mid-section and shape than the waist trainer. Weight lifting was a game changer for my curves/shape. Also fills out my loose skin a bit.😉
