Hello everyone, I created 2 collages showing how I transformed from very full face to a very tin face. One whole year, of face transformation. Enjoy Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

No weight loss in first week

Don't worry. The first few weeks are weird with transitioning from the trauma of surgery and restricted liquid diet, etc. I lost 7 pounds the first week, 5 pounds the second week, then stalled for two weeks while transitioning so soft and solid foods. Each body is different and it just takes a little while for our bodies to catch up with what we did to them.

    Gallbladder issues

I had mine out years ago and the first 6 months were a roller coaster. I was put on a strict zero fat diet for 6 months post op. I can tolerate small amounts now but too much will make me sorry . I would double check with your specialists though. And I’m sorry you’re experiencing this

    Post op nutrition

I do have trouble, had my sleeve done on 3/20. Yesterday I started making in protein and it worked. I start my day with a 16 oz water and I freeze the protein in ice trays that equal up to 80 grams. I eat the and ice all day long. It worked but today is just the second day I'm doing it. Hope that helps Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

    No wine/alcohol for one year?

Mine told me when I drink to be careful. I don't know how much is too much. One drink could take me over. Anotherwords, its possible but be careful. Agree with GradyCat. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Thanks for sharing, I'm not a drinker or a fan of alcohol so staying away won't be hard for me at all[emoji4][emoji173] Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

    barbaric process

I agree WLS is a roller coaster especially when making the decision to actually have the surgery. Getting to the point of accepting that weight loss surgery is not something to be ashamed of but the celebration of a tool that will enable us to have a longer and healthier life. No shame in looking out for ourselves first. I also have a very judgmental family the reason I haven't told not one member( except for my children who super supportive). If i don't put myself first no one will.

I was on clear liquids for a full week post op and then a full week of full liquids. My dr gave me water and protein goals but assured me I wouldn’t be able to hit those goals for awhile. My dr wasn’t concerned about protein either, just to sip, sip, sip. And I totally get the wanting to eat something. Hang in there!

Know yourself. If you only have 1 or 2 on special occasions, you'll probably be fine. Me, on the other hand, I don't do moderation. I'm either all in or all out. I was a wine person before surgery 4+ years ago & stayed that way after. I lost 108 pounds & then regained 40 of it because I was drinking 1 to 2 bottles of wine a night every night. The horror stories you've read about are true for some people like me. I'm proud to say it's been almost 2 years since I had a drink & the weight is slowly starting to come off again. If I could change 1 thing post-op, it would be never starting to drink again. But that's me. Good luck, whatever you choose!

I'm so frustrated with my GI doctor

I gave the coordinator his name and phone number and she said she would call them. Maybe she'll have better luck with him then I did. The wording could have been off but he seemed very adamant that he does not do that. I just wish he could've said something from the begining. Sent from my moto e5 plus using BariatricPal mobile app
