    I lied

To each itโ€™s own honestly. I tell ppl about my upcoming surgery. I feel like some people are nosey and some people really are looking for the courage to start their own journey. I am not ashamed whatsoever. This decision takes courage and it isnโ€™t easy. If I can help someone else struggling with their weight Iโ€™m all for it. If they just want to be in my business be my guest. Either way Iโ€™m healthy & fabulous.

    Emotional Eating

I try to "drink" my emotions away with some sugar-free flavored water or a homemade iced coffee with vanilla protein in it instead of eating food.

    Food Addiction

Churchgirl, Thank you for your honesty. Baseball Mom, I feel you pain. On some level we are all dealing with some sore of messed up **** in our life and all deal with it the wrong way. With me it is with food. When I'm stressed out or angry I turn to food for comfort. So I'm learning to change that habit also. You are not alone.

    I lied

To each their own and viva la difference! I just believe I'm not the poster child for WLS awareness and feel that this is my story to tell to whom I choose. Most people do not possess the "need-to-know" security clearance for this. It has nothing to do with stigmas for me. It has to do with not wanting to be the subject of idle curiosity and commentary. Gossip about someone else.

    Recent Surgery Diet Struggle

Are you eating things that are sugar-free? Are you taking any meds that would cause it? I didn't have that.

Mine was an hour, face-to-face. No questionnaire.

    Food Addiction

Yes, definitely talk to a counselor. It'll help. It's hard dealing with multiple things at once, I have depression too and am fighting not using food as comfort food or a crutch while losing weight.

    Food Addiction

If you have access to counseling, by all means, take advantage of it. If we had a "normal" relationship with food, we never would have gotten obese. The surgery is just a small part of the success. It's much more important to get your head in the game. Good luck!

    Raving here!

My pajama pants are falling off!!! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ The only thing that's holding them up is my big butt. ๐Ÿ˜† I guess I'll have to switch to "dress" pajamas. So not sorry about that ๐Ÿ˜€. ....it's the little victories.
