So excited. Put my stats into a BMI calculator and realised I'm no longer overweight. Yay. Still got a bit more to lose as my middle is still too thick to be healthy but being in the healthy weight range again feels amazing!

Hi there. I had my surgery October 16 so just past the 4 month mark. I was 285 when I started my pre op diet, 272 the day of surgery and today I weigh 224 pounds! 61 pounds gone forever! I love getting rid of all my big clothes. I was in a size 20 jeans prior to surgery and now I fit into size 16 and can fit in size xl tops! I’ve also lost 26 inches! To say I feel amazing is an understatement! I’m so happy I decided to have this surgery!

Oh yeah. I'm obsessed! I'm pretty sure I've watched every episode, and I watch the new episodes every week. I find it fascinating.

I actually like the taste of Bariatric Advantage B12 sublingual black cherry flavor. I buy it from the store on this site.

    One week Post op

Yep! One week post op my husband walked in the room and I was ugly crying for absolutely no reason. It was all harmonal and passed quickly. And the tiredness and weakness were so much worse than I had prepared for. I’m four weeks out now and am finally not only getting my energy back but have more than before. Be gentle with yourself and give your body the time it needs to heal.

    Alcohol and RNY

How long ago did you have your surgery? My program doesn’t have any restrictions on alcohol (which I don’t know that I agree with). Anyway, you do want to be careful - your new tummy is sensitive, you’ll feel tipsy or drunk a lot quicker, there are a lot of empty calories and (most disturbing to me) there are certain studies that have shown post WLS patients can have a higher tendency for alcohol dependence. Addiction runs in my extended family, so that is something I’m going to be careful and mindful of. I’d give it at least a couple months and then start with something easier on the stomach. I don’t even know what that would be - red wine ?
