I have an update!!! Posting in a new thread. I have had a major breakthrough and discovered what was hindering me and it may help other women in their almost 50's who are doing VSG

    Grocery store find

I have tried these before from Trader Joe’s and liked them (pre-surgery). The nutrition info is included. If you try them, let me know what you think.

You will still be you, that is true. But you might be natually more secure in yourself. You would not have been a victim of "fat shaming" , no one would have told you had no right to an earthly life because you were obese. And Fat Shamer has several Siamese twin. brothers, in fact they are quads. There is Economic Shamer- Don't pay any mind to Tubby Thelmika, she is from a lower economic class and didn't want to better herself. They are Dub

    Post OP question

There is a difference between physically able and properly following post surgical guidelines. Not following post surgical guidelines can put you at risk for injury. If you are unsure if a food is safe regarding your surgeons guidelines you should call your team. If you are seeking permission from strangers online to eat outside dietary guidelines post op, you are an adult and it is unnecessary.

    An honest update. Weight Gain

You are the first person I've ever read who said they were starving the day after WLS surgery. Anyway, sorry you are struggling and I hope you get your issues together. At least your mistakes might be a red flag to someone else like you, who was not emotionally ready for WLS surgery.

you are 100% correct. The sleeve is just a tool. We have to work it, but dont beat yourself up. Change your behaviors. FInda therapist that can help you get to the root of the food issues. It will help. Also find an accountability buddy. One that is local to you and that can help keep you accountable and not enable you. RId your home of the foods you should not be eating. Start with a clean slate. You can do this! you have the knowledge of what to do, now just implement it. Make yourself incentive boards.. WAY TO GO Boards, motivational boards.. Good Luck

Sean from My 600 lb Life dies

Link to story So sad I know a lot of people here watch the show so I figured I'd share. I never realized till I watched the show how hard obesity hits the body, and that even something as simple as an infection or cold can kill you when you're severely overweight. Sean is the latest example of that. Let's use this as a reminder to be happy that we are working on our health, and that slipping is never worth it.
