    Horrible experience with hospital

I agree w KimTriesRNY, ask for what you want. If you are just laying in bed thinking that someone needs to come walk you then you can push the call button and ask for help. You don’t want ice water? Then say “no ice, please” when they take your pitcher to refill. I walked around with my mom but really only needed her to take the squeezey things off my legs. If you have a reason for wanting a nurse to walk with you then just ask them. I would take my water pitcher with me when when I walked to refill it since I would go through the whole thing. Nurses are there to assist you to do things on your own. (Unless you require more help for safety)

    Stomach flab.

I have a lot of hanging stomach flab. Does anyone know if I will lose any of it while I'm on this diet. Or will it get worse.? Sent from my LG-M327 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Horrible taste in my mouth

Ugh! I had that terrible taste too. My doc gave me a prescription for yeast on my tongue. She also said to try to drink more water, I know easier said than done right now. I sucked on a lot of sugar free mints!

    Intimacy

As long as there's now swinging from the chandeliers, I think 2 weeks should be a long enough wait. Take it easy and no hand stands for at least a month.

    Stomach flab.

@lori1963 Will this diet get rid of your stomach area? Yes and no You will lose weight and pant sizes. If you hold your weight in your stomach area you may have loose skin to deal with after weight loss. insurance may help cover plastics if you have documented rashes or mobility issues.

    Hypothyroid Sleevers?

Hello, I have hypothyroid post partial thyroidectomy. I primarily got this surgery to shock my body because it is very hard to loose weight when you have a low thyroid in my opinion. I did find the beginning to be slow and you are still swollen keep in mind. I lost between 2-10 lb per week for the first 6 months. It flew off the next 1.5 years and I hit many many stalls for 2-6 weeks long during that time. Stick to your program and you will see results catch up.

    I just wanna eat

And... please tell me this: where do I even begin in working with my past issues with food? Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

It will definitely get better. I was sleeved on 10/25/18 and dealt with extreme nausea and taste changes too. One thing I learned to do was drink my water regardless of how I felt. If vitamins are bothering you then you can try vitamin patches. Gas, discomfort, nausea, vomiting and irritation are part of the healing process but its worth it. It will get better just hang in there. Oh and please follow the diet take your time.

I'm experiencing the same thing and my dietitian told me to just be patient and stalls are natural, but I didn't expect a stall this early into the game. I'm wrapping up 5 weeks post-op on Monday and haven't lost anything during Weeks 4 and 5 although I have lost 16 pounds and 15 inches in the first three weeks. I'm just trusting the process. I'm eating about 800 calories/day too and wondered if I needed to ramp it up a little and my dietitian said 900 calories max at this point.
