Less that 10 hours to go...

So it's in the last stages... less than 10 hours to go... no more food or water...well I'm off to bed to see if I can get a few hours of sleep. Hope all goes fantastic and no issues... fear has finally kicked in with some excitement still happening... Night all......

I love the spinach and kale bites in the frozen appetizers section. I'm at regular diet phase and I often 1/2 lean ground beef patty and 2 spinach bites (sometimes only 1 & 1/2) for lunch. They are extremely portable, as I take them out frozen, put them in the container with the frozen half patty and then microwave at work. Also fantastic for portability to work are the turkey meatballs. I eat two meatballs and two spinach bites for lunch.

I was constantly told to lose weight by doctors but WLS was never suggested. I should have had the surgery 10-15 years ago, and the stigma absolutely pushed me away from it. I was ashamed that I couldn't do it on my own I guess...and yet I didn't think a bit less of anyone else who had it. I am only 7 weeks out but I can already tell that I made the right decision and I wish I would have done it sooner instead of spending my youth obese, unhealthy and unhappy. I missed out on so many things because of my obesity. I don't see this changing in the near future, at least not in the United States. People are extremely judgemental and have a punitive attitude when it comes to medical intervention. You see that attitude not only toward obesity but also addiction, pain management and mental illness. I get enraged every time I see someone post something on social media about "You don't need antidepressants, you need running shoes." People think if they just eat enough kale and do enough crossfit that there is no need for a flu shot. People are even judgemental when it comes to cancer! I am all for natural remedies when possible but I am incredibly grateful to live in an age of modern medical interventions and I will absolutely use any tools I can to make myself healthier and happier.

    Tips Needed Please

I have the same problem, only i haven’t had the surgery yet. I found a pretty good app that has a timer for chewing each bite, its helped me so far. The app is called Baritastic. It’s pretty cool!

It's really different the full feeling. It's an entirely new sensation that can't really be fully understood until you have the surgery. lol. It doesn't exist pre-op.

Yep that was me too - very hungry - and I had the bypass. I'm finding I'm relearning what fulness and satiety are because I can eat a fair bit (I don't get much of a hard stop signal) but if I don't eat a big quantity and just eat a measured amount, half an hour later I'm fine, not looking to eat more.
