    Let the lying begin . . .

    This is a great thread!! I’m experiencing the same, when people ask me how much more weight do I plan to lose I say “ I’ll know when I get there” 😂😂 that seems to stop them in their tracks and then they look dumbfounded...I knew questions like this would be coming as I started losing weight and I’ve thought about it long and hard about it so I don’t have a problem telling people that I’m not looking for unsolicited advice regarding my weight. One lady at work constantly has to check me out everyday, one day I was so cold at work so I was wrapped up in my throw for most of the day, she asked me to take my throw off so she could see how much more weight I had lost....lol just nuts. We all know when we are where we want to be in this journey!! You all inspire me 🥰

    Ok so I know a lot of you don't weigh yourselves more then once a week. I usually weight myself about 3 times a week. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I am actually losing weight ☺️ So I weighed myself on Friday I weighed the same as I had 2 days before 201... Today I got on the scale just knowing I must of gained after having stuff I should not of had at a party last night. Hey it is the season to celebrate. To my astonishment the scale read 197 whoooohooooo. I have not seen anything under 200 in years. I did a happy dance in the bathroom. I am so happy I took this journey. I'm getting my life back.

    Protein shakes...

    Yeah it is pretty fine, I went to Six Star Strawberry when my local Wal-Mart in their infinite stupidity, refused to stock any other flavors of Premier Protein but Vanilla and Chocolate. I have developed a near- loathing for Vanilla, that thick, white tasteless stuff, yeah I could go buy Torani or other sugar-free syrups but those rascals are nearly $4 each. And I have been allergic to cocoa butter and the rest of the chocolate family for 43 years, so for me a cheap way to commit suicide. I was a Premier Protein Peaches and Creme junkie, unless I order in I can't have it. I m not even sure if they are making any anymore. And before the suggestion, no Sams Club- 23 miles away, no Costco- 30+ miles away, as Paul Simon sang " Nothing but the dead and dying in my little town" , maybe I am living,in the Gobi Desert and I never noticed it before. Haven't checked Rite Aid and CVS , K-Mart left town, and Krogers selection is even more pitiful than W-M. I would have orgered cases of it all if I had a clue I would still be imbibing 21 weeks after my Liver-Shrinking Diet in August! Ah well, Man proposes, God disposes and shall it always be so.

    I had a DS last week with Dr Wilhelmy as well. So far, so good. It's a real hospital, but it is not a U.S. Hospital. Dr Wilhelmy doesn't have a bad accent, but I think he may have a limited vocabulary in English (Dr. Campos acted as a translator during the pre-Surgery consult, though Dr Wilhelmy came by himself for the daily checkups post-op). No serious complications so far.

    RNY 12/17 Over inflated

    The gas-x has helped me as well as walking. I am PO sleeve day 5. I'm still gassy, but not nearly as much as I was that 1st day Jesus! And dr8nking slow sips of liquids help move it and hot showers, believe it or not. Sent from my SM-G930VL using BariatricPal mobile app

    Heat a towel up Hot in the Dryer and then use it until it cools down.

    1 Week Post Op...

    My doc gave me 2 weeks of zofran shots for nausea and I think that really helps . I also get tired very quickly and I was in pretty good shape prior, doing 5-6 days of spin and yoga before surgery . My 82 yo mother had more energy than me on a 10 minute walk 4 days after surgery ! I found that I get super tired when not enough liquids and. Frankly I have been maybe on 200 calories a day for a few days so hopefully today I can get in some protein and get more energy .

    Sounds like you could benefit from a session or two with a physio therapist and then an exercise physiologist.
