You have your answer. Cut the carbs, track your food. Weigh, measure, and eat appropriately. Quit filling up on empty carbs. It's very simple. The docs know and prescribe as they do because they know what works. Dense FILLING protein first, low glycemic veg next, healthy fats (not too much), and a tiny bit of fruit or IF necessary, a bite or two of carbs at the very last.

    Sleeve Recovery Time

I too had an event 3 days after my surgery. I napped up until the last possible moment, then took my Tylenol and Zofran before I left. I just sat and chewed ice and let people come to me to visit. Most knew I was post op, though not from what, and I just told them I was nauseous. Then I used the nausea as my reason to leave after about 2.5 hours and I promptly went back to sleep after I got home. I think you will be surprised with how weak and tired you will feel vs being in pain, but your body will have been lacking food and using its reserves. It's shockingly exhausting. So as long as you keep the littles from headbutting your tummy or lifting any of them, including yours, I think it will come down to your energy level at that time. Oh! And that pesky internal stitch, that might still be smarting so be careful! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

@Torriluv02 yes I had the sleeve on 8/29/18 and it’s going great, I lose slow and stall often but I’m ok with that. My team says that I’m on track and I feel that way to, I exercise a lot, WLS was one of the best decisions ever. I had surgery for health reasons and it’s amazing that I’m off most of the meds that I was taking...it’s a win win right there. I’m down 37 lbs so far.

    Sleeve Recovery Time

I came home 2 days after my sleeve surgery (I was supposed to go home the day after surgery but I was really nauseous so they kept me an extra night). I never took anything for pain once I got home and really didn’t need it. I definitely could have done something like going to a party if I only had to sit there. Everyone is different so hopefully you will feel good too!!

    Thanksgiving

Well I was a nicer person today, made and put in a baby ( 1 2/3 pound) meatloaf for Tomkitten . He's holding out hope I will eat one small slice with him. Couldn't find any regular tomato sauce so dumped on tomato low- calorie soup, figured basically close enough. A criss-cross of bacon on top, even if I can't eat any it will make the house smell nice. And if no meat, I can scoop some tomato soup off the sides and feel like I'm still in the loop. Was going to make scalloped potatoes but that was more my thing to eat than his. He would take a baked potato or some mashed . Don't have much desire for white potatoes, maybe sweet potatoes or winter squash? And as long as there is a green salad, there is joy in his ❤.

    Tespo

Given that Sleevers have no mal-absorption portion of their surgery, then *any* vitamin you take is going to be fine. If you can't stomach pills, then TESPO is an option. There is no controversy around TESPO and any other liquid vitamin. The results are going to be the same as they would be if you were taking pill form vitamins. The big controversy is with the patches. Which I've been using for almost 9+ months now and all my labs are fine. (get my 9 month labs drawn here in another week or so)

Thanks gorgeous! Im 13lbs down from my regain. I just want to get there already lol. Sometimes i feel like i have too much restriction but i know better lol. My surgeon did his job well. I originally lost 108lbs from my surgery weight. My ultimate goal is to be 150lbs down from my highest. Idk why i'm infatuated with that number. I might just chill in the 130s. We'll see lol. Have you had surgery yet Wanda247? If so how long you been out? how's your journey been? Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Sweets

I find sweets are addictive. I used to love them and crave them. Once I stopped eating them (while I was dieting before surgery) I stopped craving them. That made it much easier to avoid them. I’m only 6 weeks post surgery but so far no desire for sweets!! Good luck to you!!

Hi all. Three weeks out from being sleeved and I am having the worst pain this morning at one of my incision sites. I know it’s only three weeks but was hoping this would start to go away at this point. Did a lot of walking yesterday. Just woke up and in pain. Anyone else get the same thing?
