So, I waited until today, Day 3 of the liquid pre-op diet, to post. Yesterday was awful. Total lack of concentration at work, perpetual headache, hunger....Then today. It's like a switch went off. I feel energized, positive. Still a bit of a headache but nothing like yesterday. I can do this!! How did everyone else do on their dreaded pre-op diet? Did you ever want to cheat? If I had been asked that question yesterday, I think I would have answered differently. Today, I know I can stay on course. I need to do this for me. Cheating would only be hurting myself and this whole journey is about finally loving and respecting myself! WHOOHOO!!

Hey! I’m almost 6 months out and just had a question for all of you veterans out there. Although I don’t eat near the same amount of food I did before, I don’t really find my appetite as suppressed as I thought it would be. I can easily eat a side Caesar salad with two chicken souvlaki sticks or over a cup of protein pasta. I mentally stop myself from eating until I’m full because I don’t want to overeat or stretch out my pouch (not sure if that’s a real thing or myth). For example, for breakfast, I always eat whole grain toast with peanut butter and half a banana on top because I kickbox afterwards and need the energy. I have eaten that with an egg omelette as well and stopped myself halfway because I knew it was too much food. My question is, does this happen to anyone else and what do you do? I just want to know when to stop and if I’m messing up. Thanks in advance!

And don't be surprised about the portion size when it comes to leafy greens and raw vegetables.

    Vsg to rny

Yes, that is exactly how I feel. I had the VSG in December 2014. A month or so after I had horrible GERD and my “full sensor” was way off within about 6 months. I only lost about 45 pounds total in the last 4 years and decided to get the revision. I got the bypass a few weeks ago and immediately there was no sign of Gerd. I’m praying my weight loss is much better.

    Anyone repulsed by sugar now?

I had surgery 10/22. I used to drink the Vitamin water zero, but now find them too sweet. Unsweetened applesauce is my sweetness limit so far. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Anyone repulsed by sugar now?

I have been lucky. I was sleeved on the 8th. I am lucky and so far like or can tolerate everything i am drinking. However as wierd as it sounds the only protein shake that taste wierd to me.. is the chocolate one LOL.. Of all of the flavors i am drinking the chocolate is the worst, cookies and cream is second worst. I am hoping i did not lose my love for chocolate LOL.

    Any December sleevers here??

My Boy friend and I are doing a couples sleeve together on December 12th In Tiajauna Mexico we are also self pay. I honestly think I am dreading the pre op diet more than anything....but the thought of being slimmer and healthier this time next year I know will make it all worth it. Best wishes to you all.
