    You will get hungry

Yes, I feel satisfied with food. I have times of hunger. Hunger is more manageable since I had surgery.

    You will get hungry

I second that! I had no hunger for the first few weeks, but it eventually came back. Not that voracious, tummy grumbling feeling but more of a nagging emptiness.

    Post-Op Week 6 & 7 Plateau

HI, Today is my 7th week post surgery. I've lost 24 pounds but the last two weeks...nothing. I have my third post-op appointment next Thursday. My Dr. said he wanted me to loose 10 pounds by that appointment and I've only lost 3. I'm feeling a lot of pressure to "make weight" by next Thursday and it's really making me angry. I've spent my life being a slave to the scale and now that I've had the surgery, I just want to be good to my body and have a healthy attitude toward my weight loss and new eating habits. Thank you to anyone who reads this and has any wisdom or encouragement to share. I've never before participated in a site like this but I feel isolated because my schedule doesn't allow for me to join any support groups. Thanks again to all of you "out there"

    Surgery in 4 days

Congrats! You'll do well. Don't over think. Drink drink drink and walk tons!!! Don't take too much to the hospital! You won't need it!

I think it is false to assume that different means better or safer. US liability laws are a mixed bag, do they sometimes make us safer, sure. But they certainly make our medical care more expensive.

    Exhausted

I'm also an insomniac with sleep apnea, although that's so much better now, I still need a machine. Work on getting into a schedule if you can, for me I'm doing Intermittent Fasting between 6pm and 8am and it's worked out great, not only for sleep, but for the weight loss as well. It seemed harder than it was to get myself into a schedule, but once I did, it works out quite well. Not sure what state you are in, but there is some really positive results with cannabis for sleep issues, and if medical cannabis isn't legal in your state yet or if you are like me and have a federal job and can't use it because it's still not federally legal, there is Dronabinol / Marinol (and it's covered on most medical plans) it's not as effective since it's just THC and no CBD, but it does work wonders for the insomnia!

    Home from 10/29 Surgery

I'm improving each day now. Yesterday and today I was able to stroll to the end of my road and back (like 4 house). Food is looking good to me again. Excited about trying new recipes when I am ready. How are you feeling?

    I Hate Food Sometimes!

I’m laying in bed, all has pretty much passed, I feel better. I’m sure it was all the carbs and sugar! I just needed to share how much of a dummy I was!
