    Liver shrink diet

Also, in my experience, the first day is the hardest. It gets easier the longer you're on it.

    Pain post op

Lots of people experience the ill effects of skipping ahead in stages. Lots of people don't. You did the best thing you could have which is go back to liquids until you are better. Let your new digestive system heal, there will be plenty of time for festive foods. Promise. Contact your team amd let them know what's happening if things don't improve. Safe Journey!

On the Subject of New Clothes....

I enjoy shopping in-store now. At first it was weird, because my brain was trained to go to the 2XL section and i'd go there and find out.. oh.. these are too big. Then the 1XL section, then the Large section.. wohoo!!! almost to the Medium section!!!!! I still hold something up and think: I will NEVER Get into this.. Then it try it on and I think... You GO girlfriend! Try to enjoy the journey!

I got you, girl. I'm six months post op. Been in that same place..its not easy. Your body and mind is wigging out. You will go thru ups and downs, more changes than you will ever go through. Get a journal scribble down your crazy thoughts. Doesn't matter if you cant read it. Get it out. Pray if your at all religious. Concentrate on the positive and stay focused on yourself and you will get through it. Go to a support group if there's one in your area. Your going to be just fine..it just takes time. It took me until four months till the waters parted and I felt human again. Please keep us posted..hang in there. Every day will get better. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

On the Subject of New Clothes....

I loved my old clothes. I have been a very stylish person and I have many favorite items. I’m sad that I can’t just rebuy them smaller. Some of my old clothes fit loose and flowed a lot, some of them were flattering to my figure (despite being a person of size). So now I’m struggling with shopping and dressing my new body - smaller chest and oddly pear shaped (was not a pear before). I agree with @redhead_che when she muses, “how to dress this new body?” I am going to hold out as much as I can, but even my belts are too small now.

    Gastric Sleeve

I’m almost 3 months post op, and the ability to gulp water shouldn’t be worrisome. The items you’re concerned with are minimal compared to the benefits of wls. I drink water everyday and sometimes I can gulp, sometimes I can’t. Weight loss stalls happen w/ or w/o surgery. And the length of time it occurs is different for everyone. Good luck with your decision!

    Pain post op

Hi everyone ! So I must admit I've been feeling more encouraged with everyone'ssupportive comments and recommendations since I was last on. That 3 week stall was very discouraging, and I'm still accepting it but definitely working through it much better now. So now, as much as I've tried sticking to the diet plan post op, I slipped last night. My mom made some chicken in salsa, onions and veggies (in my culture it's similar to a pollo encebollado). I took a bite from it, and following that took an even smaller bite of this dulce de leche from a party cake my sister brought home. I've been doing so well but I definitely gave into temptation. I'm supposed to be starting solids next week upon the surgeons discretion. So I figured what could be so harmful? ... my body took vengeance. I've been in twisting pain in my stomach since then. I took 1/2 tab of pain meds and eventually I fell asleep. This morning woke up again with the excruciating pain and I've been in bed and strictly on fluids because of my fear. I still feel the pain and it has now been 24hrs with another 1/2tab of pain meds. Has anyone else experienced this???
