    I Hate Food Sometimes!

Ugh. It’s been a several months since I had the local Chinese food and gotten sick, so my brain must’ve forgotten how sick I got last time because I got some tonight for supper. ugh. It made me so sick. Why am I such an idiot? Ugh! Dummy! Dear future me, Should you think Chinese food sounds good...you’re wrong. You’ll end up puking, taking your Zofran, and laying in the tub while hot water rains down on you until your stomach feels calm enough to lay in bed without wanting to dry heave. This feels terrible, you do not want to feel like this again. Don’t do it, rather don’t EAT it. With Love, Me Blahhhh!

Is that some light I see?

If you tell yourself things will go wrong, they will. Conversely, if you tell yourself things will go right, they will. Good luck.

    What to eat at 8wks!?

At 8 weeks, I was cleared for all foods. cottage cheese can be mixed with pretty much anything that would work with cheese. So like, taco meat for instance. https://nutritionstarringyou.com/40-cottage-cheese-recipes-you-wont-believe/

Before and after. Couple close coaching friends getting ready to do the same thing. Very fortunate that I had good insurance. Had to do the 6 month wait (visit and class once a month) but it was worth it. I was a walking heart attack waiting to happen on Friday nights in the fall. So much energy and adrenaline go into a Friday night.

Is that some light I see?

I had my first appointment with the surgeon last night and I see light at the end of the tunnel. Now, normally I am not an optimistic person. If something can go wrong or plans get messed up, it will happen to me. It's just the way things seem to work out for me. For starters, I am really glad I chose this Dr. I like his personality, he is very straight-forward. I had started journaling on MFP right after the seminar, so I printed off those days and put them in a binder for Dr. Gagne to take a look at. He told me not to change anything. To keep eating exactly the way I am currently eating that my protein is perfect, my calories are good, my fat is good, etc. So that was nice to hear especially since the scale has not moved in 3 weeks. Some other good news that I was told is that the insurance I am switching to at open enrollment (Highmark BCBS DE) no longer has the 6 month supervised diet. Because this sounded too good to be true, I verified this online and with HR this morning. Sure enough, that policy changed as of last month!!!! So it looks like as soon as I have the insurance at the first of the year, the coordinator will be calling to get a date set for me!!!!! Other good news from talking to the Dr. I asked what the pre-op diet would be. He said well exactly what you are doing now. So I told him no, I had read about people having to do a liver shrinking diet. He said for him, it depends on the patient, but I would only have to do the day before clear liquids! How great it was to hear that. So all these good things that I found out last night......a banana peel is sure to show up somewhere. LMAO

    Stalled at 6 weeks

Certainly check all the posts using the Search function. That said, what's your calorie intake vs output. How's your water intake? Are you following the diet you are supposed to be or are you off doing your own thing? Are you tracking your food intakes? Don't forget that you could be losing fat and not losing "weight" as odd as that sounds, there are so many times that I'd drop fat % but not a single oz. Just keep doing what you are supposed to, max out on the water (128oz if possible) and focus on lean meats and veggies.

    What to eat at 8wks!?

Yup, 6 weeks I was cleared for everything other than raw veggies, at 8 weeks all food (that I could tolerate) was fair game. Our Nutritionist pushes whole foods over processed. She's a vegan but doesn't require or enforce restrictions on meats, our only "rule" was to ensure that no added sugars are present, if so then the total sugar count per serving needs to be less than 5g, fat needs to also be less than 5g per serving.

    Gelatin-free vitamins

The bari life I use, I don't think has gelatin. It's got 45 iron but 200 folic acid with each dose. I get the powder and drink it in water.

    I Hate Food Sometimes!

I’m laying in bed, all has pretty much passed, I feel better. I’m sure it was all the carbs and sugar! I just needed to share how much of a dummy I was!

    Excercise

I honestly believe in order for me to lose, I must exercise daily if at all possible. I try to walk 60 to 60+ minutes per day. I'm trying very hard to get back to doing my strength training/core exercises but that's not as regular--so far about 2x week is all I manage.
