Listening to this podcast at the moment. Extremely interesting. A lot of scientific big words but even I understand it. Dumping Syndrome 2+ years Postop

Hi all - I had gastric sleeve surgery 2/5 years ago. For the past few months I have been having dumping syndrome. The reading I have done all says that it comes from eating simple carbs. And if I do eat cookies (my main downfall in life) I tend to get it. But I will get it when eating non-simple carbs. For instance, this morning I had a egg for breakfast and had a fairly bad "attack". It seems to be more of an issue in the morning, than other times of the day. Has anyone experiencing dumping syndrome found ways of preventing it? Thanks

    Body Temperature

Is anyone experiencing major fluctuations in body temperature? I am a month post-op and have been noticing that I am always extremely cold. I have always had a bit of a cold intolerance (pre-surgery) as a symptom of my hypothyroidism. But now I find myself bundling up everywhere and it’s not even winter yet. I am thankful I do not live somewhere it snows or I don’t know what I would do. Has anyone experienced this and found a way to overcome?

    Body Temperature

I used to hate people who complained about being cold because I was always warm. Now I'm one of them. I'm always under a blanket or turning the heat up! Good to hear it levels out...

    Feeling frustrated

WLS is a huge mind game. You have to be mentally prepared to adapt to whatever necessary at that moment. Don't let things that are out of your control frustrate you. Get your mindset to where you can adapt and try to stay positive about it. Good luck to you on this journey!!!

    Hair loss

I use Biotin daily. Some say it doesn't work, but for me, I've been on it for 10 months now and my hair has never been more healthy, strong and thick. It's also great for your nails. Old school remedy is Gelatin capsules - I have family that swears by it.

All drugs have possible negative side-effects after all. I'd love to get rid of these PPIs as well.
