    Tomorrow is my sleeve!!

Everything will be fine. Your medical team knows what they are doing. And you'll sleep through the surgery!

I went through a long stall right after losing the first 2 weeks, but finally starting to lose again. I did measure and have lost between 2" and 2.5" off of each area. That's exciting at least. Anyone else going through that ? Slow loss, but inches going away?

If you cannot incorporate another protein shake, why don't you try something whole grained? It will definitely go down a little better, and you are increasing your calorie intake. For example, you can have two slices of Ezekiel bread with natural peanut butter. That is about 255 calories of whole grains and healthy fats that will fill you up and provide you with more calories

    Got the call!!

So excited for you! I remember finding out that my insurance was going to cover mine! I felt a sense of security. It will be time for your surgery before you know it! Mine is tomorrow, and I am so so so so nervous!

I made it! Overnight was a little rough, nausea being the main issue. I anticipated that, it's common for me after anesthesia. I wasnt able to start drinking yesterday due to nausea but have been doing well with it today. The most pain by far is from my umbilical hernia which ended up being very involved. But now i have a cute new belly button! Should be headed home this afternoon. Let the real work begin!

When I told my older (and wiser) sister she was all for it but asked me a few questions first about it I was sure and why I thought I needed to have this surgery. When I explained that I had thought long and hard on this (about 16 years worth) she is behind me all the way. She herself had Gastric Bypass quite sometime ago and has done a great job at keeping her weight off. Now, my younger sister isn't all for it not sure why exactly but she gave her opinion and I explained why I wanted to do this. Haven't spoken to her about it since.

Pain tolerance and how you feel is different for each of us. Your team will take good care of you to manage it. You will have pain meds at the hospital and when you are sent home. The nursing staff had me walking the hallways the day after surgery. At home I was instructed to continue walk and had lifting restrictions. Walking helps the healing process. You will be given your specific instructions when you are sent home. BTW - I bounced back quickly. I expected pain and it goes away with time. You can listen to all our stories/examples but your experience is going to be unique to you.
