    How important is Exercise?

Keeping a pool...even a little above ground one...is a lot of exercise. Not just the swimming, but the constant care involved, cleaning, chemicals, etc. LOTS of trips to the pool, even when you're not swimming. Keeping a garden is the same kinda thing. Lots of weeding, watering, stuff to keep you moving. I keep both:)

    GERD

I had GERD ever since I had my sleeve in 2011. I had a revision from sleeve to bypass in May & haven’t had GERD since.

    PSA: don’t freeze Premier!!

So I’m on my 2 week preop liquid diet and we decided to go camping this weekend. (Which was its own brand of hell in itself). I decided to freeze a couple bottles of Premier so they could naturally thaw in the cooler Saturday and be cold for today (Sun). Oh man, it did some weird separation in the thawing process and ended up being chunky. So not only did I have to endure my family enjoying grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob, and s’mores around the campfire, I had to choke down chunky peach premier.

    Scared

Don't be fightened, don't be scared. Surgeries are smooth and easier than they once were. Anesthesia has evolved from either and that ilk to effortless slumber. You want something to worry about? Worry about continuing to be obese, worry about being more prone to bad diseases. I have lived 72 years being close or completely obese. That My younger friend, is a living death I would wish on only my worst of enemies. And that is why , at an age when many retire, I am going forward in a little over a month for my own surgery. And my recovery may not be as smooth as someone your age, but. the joy of an continued life outweighs any pains and sorrows I may encounter because I will still have a chance to live. It may be my last chance to ride the merry go round but I'm reaching out for the ring there anyway!

    How important is Exercise?

I honesty don't work out a lot, i do walk some, but I have not made rigorous exercise the priority during the beginning stages of this journey. Exercise is mentioned and included as part of the program but there are tons of patients that for medical reasons just can't do a lot of it (me included) so diet is focused on more.

    Food in Food out

from what i read here on the forums its more likely a problem of not being able to go. have you talked to your doctor? a testing of a stool sample would be a very good idea along with complete blood panel. how long has this been an issue. have you traveled outside the US recently have you gone camping or hiking and drank water from a stream or drank well water. these are all things that might have introduced a bug to your system that is causing this. seek medical care right away.

Hi all. Three weeks out from being sleeved and I am having the worst pain this morning at one of my incision sites. I know it’s only three weeks but was hoping this would start to go away at this point. Did a lot of walking yesterday. Just woke up and in pain. Anyone else get the same thing?
