Pre-op diet... oh and a crush...

Just remember that Doctors have a very strict "don't date patients" policy. Congrats on getting closure to the losers bench!

I agree, something is flawed here. For what it's worth, back in the 80's or 90's Weight Watchers had a fat-and-fiber stage. The plan was very low fat, at least XX fiber (I don't recall the amount). Other than that, you could eat pretty much whatever you wanted. I gained weight on that sucker. Fat isn't my temptation. It's salty/crunchy like pretzels, many of which are fat-free. I was in heaven, except for the whole gaining weight thing.

Pre-op diet... oh and a crush...

Sighhh lord help me.. my surgeon is good looking, making me have a crush! Not married lol. Ok I need to focus. Just finished my pre-op appointment! I have to be on their diet food for 4 weeks before my surgery. I will need to lose 14lbs which should be fairly easy on this diet ha. Getting very excited for this journey!!!

Just one more example of how different our bodies are. We've all got to find what works for us.

    Just got sick

I cooked mine with broth in the Instapot, basically poached. Moist, and you can add flavor as well, add salsa, or harrissa or thai chili paste, anything really!

Except that I've pretty much tried them all and regained in every case. So I'm banking on restriction. I doubt that I eat very differently from you, Creek. I eat oatmeal, quinoa, beans, meats, veggies, dairy.

I eat a ton of carbs and my diet is extremely fat restricted. I eat less than 20g of fat per day. I've lost weight pretty steadily eating at least 3 generous servings of fruit a day and lots of whole grains and veggies including brown rice and potatoes. I'm going to have to increase calories to prolly 1600 to stop my weight loss here pretty quick:) Fat restriction works very well for me.

I have an update. Got my letter today from JFS and I qualify for transitional Medicaid for at least 3 more months! As long as I can carry the same provider, I should be good to go! I may have been all worked up over nothing! (Hopefully).
